tengusaur (23:25:34): After the recent series of high-profile victories in space, Unity Group members enjoyed well-deserved vacations.
tengusaur (23:25:49): But that state of peace turned out to be short-lived.
tengusaur (23:26:20): Suddenly a worrying message arrived. A cry for help.
tengusaur (23:28:17): Lei-Peshkov Psydyne Technologies is a corporation that for a very long time was suspected of being involved in very shady business. Even if it was never proven they ever did anything illegal, their involvement in suspicious activities is pretty much a fact.
tengusaur (23:28:23): And now, their HQ is under attack.
tengusaur (23:28:50): Under attack by mecha that, from description, are very clearly BrightSaber and the two FightSabers.
tengusaur (23:29:21): Loni and friends have shown up again.
tengusaur (23:30:14): Unity Group assembled as many pilots and machines it could on such a quick notice, and sent them there to stop Loni.
tengusaur (23:30:31): That'd be you. And you've almost reached your destination now.

tengusaur (23:34:45): You can see it already. A large, moderately fortified building, on the edge of a large city.
tengusaur (23:35:25): Something is smoking, and there are signs of battle.
tengusaur (23:36:02): A small number of those strange monsters that accompany Loni and company recently are shambling around, though they don't seem to have any purpose here beyond breaking stuff.

drascin (23:52:04): and with that, Ashe turns into Aeolus and blasts off into the air, to gain position. Well, here we go again
frifreeman (23:53:29): "SNEAK ATTACK!" Walt jumps behind of Loni and Ilinka wielding his heat stake over his head
griefgathering (23:53:53): Morte: "The accompanying units seem quite strange. I advise caution, Mistress."
frifreeman (23:54:05): but that's not hte sneak attack though, the rest of his team are waiting until the stooges turn their head toward him before popping out and open fire with their DODS gun.+
griefgathering (23:55:15): *Fyra, now astride her mount, unleashes a storm of green beams made from the surrounding green energy to test the waters. The target: the Portents.+
tengusaur (23:55:15): Ilinka: "Ah...!" Looks like the attack caught her by surprise, and she's pushed into defense, forced to block the heat stake and one of the first DODS shots, before evading the rest.
griefgathering (23:56:04): (Note: Still on-foot mode with horse for now)
tengusaur (23:56:09): Desta, on the other hand, notices on time, and evades quickly by flipping into the air - and while he does so, he fires his beam pistols upside-down at Walt's unit, before landing on top of a nearby building.

Ginkan SK (23:56:55): Raquel ees that talk isn't oging to do much so she's eying the enemy units. She breaks into a run heading for the Portents, she seems intent to try and keep the more numerous unit type off her comrades while they deal with the rest. She's going to keep things simple however as she's just attempting to get into basic mele with the Portents+
cubey@aol.pl (23:57:32): *The Grungust rushes forward - its massive frame standing between the jumping Desta and the Genoace, the forearms together in a block.+
tengusaur (23:57:51): Fyra's blasts shred one of the Portents, and damage another one, which then gets pummeled by Raquel, hit by more of the green beams, and falls.
frifreeman (23:58:23): Walt throw his heat stake toward Desta's mech to block his line of sight, before jumping backward as soon as he lands. "75% of adult have clown phobia, so thank you if you think I'm that scary I guess."+
frifreeman (23:58:38): Walt: "Also, 89% of statistics are made up in the spot."
tengusaur (23:59:26): Raquel also smashes another Portent into the ground, damaging it too much to move. Overall three of these units are down, and they slowly start to fall apart into small, semi-solid blobs.

tengusaur (00:00:48): However. Now you two have gathered the attention of the enemies. The remaining Portents attack at range, disattaching their blades and throwing them into your direction! While not 100% accurate, the blades splinter into smaller shards upon impact, and those shards also fly around everywhere!
tengusaur (00:00:52): (Fyra and Raquel react)
tengusaur (00:02:16): The Grungust intercepts the attack on Walt, letting him escape without harm. Its field is strained from the barrage, though, and a few of the blasts leave black marks. No real damage yet though.
tengusaur (00:02:37): Desta: "Tch! Who's piloting this?"
tengusaur (00:02:46): (Rani&Brye, Ashe, Ken)
griefgathering (00:03:17): *The Rider and steed are on the move. But given that the blades broke apart into shards, Fyra brings up a hand to project the Wraith Shield. Hopefully that will stop those shards.+

frifreeman (00:03:21): Walt: "Blargh, should've kept my heat stake. With my luck, this facility is actually producing giant vampires or something."
cubey@aol.pl (00:04:07): *The Grungust's eyes light up, leaving scorch marks across the ground as it gazes around to throw the Portents away from the entrance. "What was the name... ah, right! Eye Solid Laser!" And then it stares the deathbeams right into the center of ShotSaber's mass!+
tengusaur (00:04:35): Fyra and Morte start to dash between the incoming shards, but a lot of them still pummel the shield, slowly pushing them backwards.
tengusaur (00:04:41): None penetrate it, though.
Ginkan SK (00:05:24): Raquel pauses at how the Portents are turning into blobs she does not like where that is going. However she's got to worrya bout th incomming barrag eof thrown blade. She'll charge har machine's forearms with Ki and attempt deflect the blades that she can.+
drascin (00:05:47): *Well, Desta, while you were jumping looking at Walt, you should have kept an eye upwards. There's a glint on the sun, and then lightning as Aeolus comes down, wreathed in electricity, dual blades aiming for FightSaber's head+
tengusaur (00:06:13): Two more Portents are hit by the Eye Solid Laser and blow up! However, while this is going on, suddenly something is moving in quickly! It's a Herald, which is brandishing its spear as it flies in at a great speed, trying to impale the Grungust! (react)
Aero (00:07:06): Rani: "Brye a target is moving in."
Meraxa (00:07:10): Ken: We need to contain this situation outside at least... *Ken's experiences with Loni left him wanting for the other parts of SolSavior to be present, but he'd have to make do. As such, ScarleTiger makes way for the other Herald, unleashing his Scarlet Whip to try and melt away its rather exposed midriff!+

tengusaur (00:09:01): Desta: " 'Me', very descriptive..." Before he can say anything else, Aeolus descends towards the ShotSaber, slashing at its head! But, since Desta starts evading, the attack only does light damage to his armor - and before Ashe can shoot more, suddenly a souped-up Mega Beam shot is flying into her direction, fired by the FightSaber's gun! (react)
cubey@aol.pl (00:09:07): *The Grungust tries to grab at the Herald, making use of its superior reach to hold the enemy at bay before the spear can connect with its body! Also, its eyes with lasers still active stare at the new opponent, but that's just a side effect of the defense.+

Aero (00:09:49): * Rani lets out a small sigh. "Alright then." Thanks to the machine working with both vocal commands and the T-Link System on top of manual control it allowed Rani to take control of the machine even while Brye was busy calling out attacks. The Grungust raises up a palm which starts glowing with green energy. "T-Link Contact...Boost Knuckle!" And fires off the palm to smash through the spear and the Portent. +
tengusaur (00:09:58): Raquel manages to deflect most of the blades with ki, sending them away from Amazon. A few leave shallow scratches in her arms, but it's nothing to worry about.
tengusaur (00:11:47): The Herald is grabbed by ScarleTiger's whip, which starts to burn its armor. But before it manages to do too much damage, the robot aims its spear at Ken, and fires several powerful beam blasts from it! (react)
drascin (00:12:39): *Seeing the beam coming, Aeolus turns into Vulturon, sending out an energy-shredding shockwave with a metal chord+
tengusaur (00:14:34): The Grungust's defense is a bit of a flailing mess as each pilot tries to do a completely different thing! However, between the mighty arm's steady grip and the strong TK Field, the spear doesn't manage to penetrate your defenses. The Herald flies away quickly after the strike, to avoid the eye lasers, and gets grazed by the not very accurately flying rocket punch.

tengusaur (00:15:52): Vulturon's shockwave dispels most of the incoming blast, though since this is more powerful than a normal Mega Beam Rifle, it still has enough of a force to push Ashe away from ShotSaber.
Meraxa (00:15:53): Ken: Why even make it a spear? *Ken mused, attempting to run around the big machine as he evaded its fire, so that he was effectively hidden behind its bulk whilst the Scarlet Whip continued to burn+

Aero (00:16:03): Rani: "We're not really in sync are we..."
Aero (00:16:31): She attempts to recall the fumbling rocket punch.

frifreeman (00:17:18): Walt: "Team, go keep these chumps busy." He radio his team.
tengusaur (00:17:24): Ken manages to evade the incoming blasts. However, one of them hits the ground nearby, sending pieces of rubble flying around, which is enough of a distraction for the enemy to break free from the whip.
frifreeman (00:17:28): Walt: "I'm going to do some actual heroic."
Aero (00:17:29): Rani: "The machine will react to the both of us though..."

frifreeman (00:21:33): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtIfXRLuEKM With that, Walt crashes into the burning building, shield first. "Anyone still trapped here? Hopefully some ofice worker, but unknowing scientist working in secretly evil experiment are fine too. This is Unity Group. I just opened some way out! If anyone still alive yell or something so I know where to pick you up and/or destroy some wall next!" He says through his genoace's loudspeaker as the rest of 8th Genoace Team shoot covering fire toward Desta and Ilinka.+
griefgathering (00:21:59): *Fyra and Morte continue to harass the remaining Portents with beams from a range. They also try to draw the attention of a Testimony or one of those Heralds, in case they interfere with those attacking Desta and Ilnika.+
tengusaur (00:24:12): While Walt's team lays cover fire at Desta and Ilinka (who focus on evading it), he sees something inside the building, A Portent is swinging its arm slowly at some people inside. But, with him smashing into the building, the creature is distracted, and it turns around, its limbs phasing through the wall slowly as it lashes out with a blade at him instead! (react)
Ginkan SK (00:24:57): Raquel feels the damge but it's nothing much to worry about however. She does however go again after any remaining portents at this point, the kicks are flying fast and furious as she tries to just clear as many as she can out of the fight+

frifreeman (00:25:50): Walt offer his shield toward the Portent, hoping that it don't phase this one and dephase on his liver or something.+
tengusaur (00:27:11): Fyra's beams blow up another Portent, and scorch the armor of one of the Testimonies. However, the latter is tough enough to endure it, and now it's moving forward, ready to splatter the much smaller rider with a downwards strike of its colossal blade! (react)
tengusaur (00:28:09): The blade grinds against Walt's shield, but the defense holds. The Portent comes out of the building, phasing through solid matter with visible effort... And three more come after it.
tengusaur (00:28:21): You get the feeling that's all of them that were inside.
tengusaur (00:28:46): The people disappear from your sight. Hopefully they're escaping into a safe spot.
tengusaur (00:29:41): Raquel's kicks smash two of the outside Portents, sending them to the ground. However, now a huge boomerang blade is flying towards her, thrown by a Testimony! (react)

griefgathering (00:31:18): *The skeletal horse changes direction rapidly by performing the four legged equivalent of a bike slide. As hooves trail fire, Fyra reaches out toward thin air, summoning a black staff that appears in her hand. A curved blade forms at one end of the weapon, turning it into a Guan Dao, and her eyes glow as she takes a wide swing at the descending spear...aiming to disintegrate it or at least chop it in half before it hits!+

Aero (00:32:00): Rani: "Got it...one goal..just need to focus on one goal."
cubey@aol.pl (00:32:03): *The Grungust jumps forward, its back and leg thrusters sending it flying through the air. It lands heavily in front of the Portent that attacked Walt, and grabs it - its hand trying to lift it up, while the other of the super robot's arms tries to reach out towards another, and do the same to it!&
tengusaur (00:32:58): While the Grungust lifts the two Portents into the air, the misshapen monsters try to stab at it repeatedly with their bladed limbs! (react/continue)

tengusaur (00:33:37): Fyra's much smaller blade clashes against the incoming huge sword...
tengusaur (00:34:00): And cleaves its blade into two pieces, which fall to the ground on her sides.
tengusaur (00:34:07): And then slowly disintegrate.
Meraxa (00:34:17): Ken: Let's see if I can finish what I started here... *Ken turns his attentions back to the Herald. Quickly, he rushes at the big machine's back, drawing his Scarlet Shotels. He seeks to rush in, placing his blades between its arms and its body - where he can attempt to cut through the already damaged waist like the pincers of a stag beetle!+
tengusaur (00:34:20): The Testimony that held it, however, is still there.
Aero (00:34:49): * "Boost Knuckle!" Waiting for that moment, Rani powers up one of the Grungust's arms as the Portent attempted to break free and then fires the palm out with the Portent towards another to destroy two at once. +
drascin (00:35:05): *Well, if you want to play with beams, Ilinka, we can do that. So as the beam sends Ashe flying, she spins on herself, and lands as Sixshot, the Decepticon Supersoldier, before returning the buster fire with a giant energy bazooka of his own+

cubey@aol.pl (00:36:00): *The other hand fires as well - going high, shooting the Portent it holds into the skies above!+
tengusaur (00:36:32): Ken manages to catch up to the Testimony, and his blades cleave through its midsection, separating it into two pieces with a powerful strike!
tengusaur (00:37:25): However, as the halves start to turn to mulch-like substance, suddenly something starts to circle around him in the air, peppering him with a big barrage of beam blasts!
tengusaur (00:37:40): Desta: "Forgot about me already? Big mistake."
tengusaur (00:37:44): (Ken react)
griefgathering (00:38:56): Indeed it's still there, but its attention is what Fyra needed. She twirls the polearm as she prepares to engage the Testimony again. She's hoping the others are making some progress though...
tengusaur (00:39:00): Ilinka starts to desperately dodge, trying to avoid the energy bazooka shot, and is not entirely successful as it burns a part of FightSaber.
tengusaur (00:39:20): Ilinka: "No. I have to be strong. For him...!"
Meraxa (00:39:22): Ken: Hardly; I just gave you about as much priority as you deserved. *Ken attempts to backflip above and away Desta's blasts - and in the same motion, throw his Scarlet Shotels to either slice or pin the ShotSaber. Mostly its to try and ward off the assault+

The beam explodes out with even more power to blow past the graviton blast and destroy the machine firing it. +
tengusaur (01:34:43): Suddenly, a big, heavy crocodile-shaped robot falls on Ilinka's head, throwing the FightSaber off-balance just for a second.

Well first of all, let's try to get its attention. She flies up as Aeolus, and as she flies above the creature, shifts to the shiisharoids for a moment, dropping a mess of bombs vertically, before zippping away again. With any luck gravity will help get the contact bombs through that weird bullet-stopping cloud+

tengusaur (02:14:02): The Guardian gets hit by a DODS shot hitting it square in the chest, though the attack seems to cause only barely noticable damage to it. Ken's multiple slashes leave shallow gashes at most, and Ashe's dropped bombs and Raquel's ki blasts bombard it, covering its body with small explosions that seem to deal surface damage at most. While the enemy is not immune to damage, it is very tough.
tengusaur (02:14:48): And then it responds by releasing lots of energy-consuming mists again! And it slashes at ScarleTiger with several of its blades, before jumping high up, trying to stab Ashe with one of its horns!

Aero (02:15:10): * Rani takes Brye's hand and manages to calm herself down, wrapping her fingers around her partner's. "Brye...thank you." With her focus back to normal the two Psychodriver's synced up and their psychic energy synchronized the Grungust began to build with power again. Even more than when Rani was powering the machine alone. "This attack...Alpha!" +

tengusaur (02:18:42): The two halves of the Testimony fall apart and start decomposing. Only the gigantic boss monster is left.
drascin (02:20:24): *Okay, part one of the plan, make the thing come at the smallest, dodgiest member of the team while the big guns get something ready, success. Now for step two of the plan - survive part one! As the thing comes upwards, Aeolus suddenly turns into Siarnaq, ninja-teleporting a short distance in an entirely different direction before flashing green again and heading the hell out of dodge with a push of wind behind herself to delay the coming smoke!+

tengusaur (02:21:54): Wind turns out to be a good defense against the smoke, as it pushes it away enough to let Ashe avoid that strike - and good, because she can feel its force as the gigantic horn stabs past her.
meraxa2 (02:22:01): Ken tries his best to deflect the blades as they come - or rather, given their size, effectively push the ScarleTiger away from them+
aldo salt (02:22:42): *ShelLancer rockets forward with it's Shell-Boost, pouring on the velocity. It should start breaking soon if it doesn't want to collide with the Guardian…but it keeps going. "f this beast can absorb my lightning…" Dido mutters, "then i'll hit it with my mass!" ShelLancer rockets into the air, then dives down at the Guardian's damaged back feet-first! "Foot...Grind!"+
tengusaur (02:23:24): Ken manages to do that well, because the first strike is strong enough that it sends ScarleTiger flying. He lands gracefully, albeit with some damage from the strike, but the smoke managed to drain some of his energy.
Aero (02:24:07): Rani: "If we can keep our concentration we can strike him again Brye."

griefgathering (02:24:49): The breeze from the various attacks reach Fyra and Morte. Both appear content to watch the UG's display, but this was more because of Brye and Rani's combined psychodriver attack.
tengusaur (02:25:37): As soon as the monster lands, it gets hit by Dido's attack! The powerful divekick slams into the Guardian, throwing it off balance just for a moment. Unfortunately, this means Dido is engulfed by the smoke, and ShelLancer barely has enough energy left to move anymore. It won't help in this fight more.
tengusaur (02:25:39): But.
tengusaur (02:26:05): All your attacks left marks. And the total damage accumulates.
tengusaur (02:26:32): The enemy is getting slowly worn out. This fight is not over yet.

frifreeman (02:31:16): Walt: "By we, I mean me. I'm sure most of you guys have wind magic that can blow away smoke or anti-smoke gravity laser bomb."
tengusaur (02:31:29): Looks like absorbing Walt's shots slows the smoke down a little, because he manages to escape it. His ammo is almost completely drained though.
meraxa2 (02:32:05): *could steal half the power. So he charges again, leaping high, trying to get above, so that when he thrusts forward his fist-!* RETSU KEN *The full force of the solar strike is unleashed! +
cubey@aol.pl (02:32:56): *Energy lines glow intensely on the Grungust's limbs and torso. Once again, Lucent Sword in hand, it charges forward - a close, spinning strike, the light blade held in check from growing so as not to cut the terrain - or allies! But that's not the end of it...&
drascin (02:32:58): Ashe: ...actually, I kinda do. Let's try something!
tengusaur (02:34:17): Ken's powerful strike hits the moster straight on, the Solar energies dispersing its mist for a second! The Guardian takes a step back, its armor visible cracked where the punch hit, something glowing ominously inside.
Aero (02:34:33): Rani: "Everyone now!"
drascin (02:34:39): *And indeed, what Aeolus is going to do is not attack himself - but rather, begin spinning, creating a massive twister of wind roaring all around the giant beast, funneling the smoke as much as possible away from the attacks of her teammates+
tengusaur (02:35:39): But then it tries to erupt more smoke again - and before the clouds form, it's already swinging two arm-mounted blades at ScarleTiger, trying to cleave it! (react)
tengusaur (02:36:08): However, Aeolus' whirlwind funnels the smoke away, making at least this part of the attack not an issue for Ken, or any other allies!
griefgathering (02:37:06): *Wasting no more time, Morte takes up its mecha form, holding the same polearm that Fyra did on foot, only properly scaled. The weapon's blade flips to turn into a large scythe, but it's not swung, because a dark sphere appears before the machine's chest, and from it, a beam of powerful radiation is fired at the Guardian!+
meraxa2 (02:38:24): Ken.... doesn't really have much power left from that. Only enough to try and angle his foot, so that he might kick away when one blade makes contact - and before it can fully cut.+

tengusaur (02:39:23): Raquel escapes the smoke, also thanks to all the allies running interception. Continue with the assault!
Aero (02:40:02): * "Oh no you don't!" Rani condenses all of the built up energy into a blade of brilliant light by forming a Psychic Field around it before impaling it into the creature , right where the cracks in its armor formed earlier. Without direct contact with the energy it would not be contained for much longer and would instead erupt violently in a tower of light. +
tengusaur (02:40:24): Ken kicks away from the first of the blades safely, his technique measured well. The second blade doesn't even get to touch him, as the Guardian is suddenly hit by the powerful beam fired by Fyra, and thrown off-balanced, its body scorched!
tengusaur (02:41:03): Ken lands on the ground safely, having suffered no damage from this attack.
frifreeman (02:42:17): Walt throw his now useless gun toward the monster "Absorb this" he says, before running toward a building, jump on top of it, and using it as platform to jump higher, above the monster. And now he aims his two feet toward the monster, firing his thruster, and let gravity and momentum do ther rest. "Doesn't matter if you absorb my energy now, because... You can't absorb earth's energy! GRAVITY RIDER KICK!"

tengusaur (02:46:06): The Guardian raises an arm, getting ready to counter against Fyra in some way... How exactly, you don't get to learn, because it's stabbed by the Grungust's mighty strike, the beam blade and the tower of light burning its body!
tengusaur (02:46:57): The monster is visibly heavily damaged now! It raises a bladed arm for a counterattack, trying to cut into the Grungust in response, but it never gets to launch that strike, because...
Ginkan SK (02:49:29): Raquel "I owe you guys one." Is all she says as she's charging her ki she cups her hands. Which has her machine follow suit right after she does and there's a spike of ki as she launches a burst of ki in the shape of a dragon at it. IF it wants energy perhaps it limits on how much it can handle?+
tengusaur (02:50:02): Because then suddenly the Guardian of the Past is hit by two attacks at once!
tengusaur (02:50:43): A Genoace, doing an ordinary diving kick straight at its body... is enough to throw the Guardian off-balance, making its attack a pointless whiff, and causing more cracks to appear on its armor.
tengusaur (02:51:10): And the dragon-shaped ki flies all over it, causing more burn marks on its body and ripping off small pieces of its armor.
tengusaur (02:51:35): All this accumulated damage causes the glow inside the Guardian to intensify... It can be visible through its many, many cracks.
tengusaur (02:52:00): The monster howls, grabbing its head, and its body can't hold itself in one piece anymore!
tengusaur (02:52:16): The Guardian explodes into small bits, the force of the explosion pushing all the nearby mecha away!
tengusaur (02:52:37): The remaining pieces of it start to slowly decompose into mulch, and then into nothingness.
frifreeman (02:52:55): Walt's Genoace involuntarily sommersault somewhere before landing in a heap.
frifreeman (02:53:07): Walt: "Hey, do you think I should've spun there?"
