But as you round both sides of of the dig, suddenly they come under fire from INSIDE the dig! There were more terrorists laying low in there too, and surrounded by hostages (and additionally ancient statues and incription-laden walls to boot), and both assault rifles and RPG rounds are fired at both of you!

Biting her lip, Alex fired a series of quick jets of pressurized water at the larger mecha to try to keep them occupied as they tried to cover the ground towards them. +

One of them fires, not at you but rather to try to intercept your fire! No such luck, unfortunately... and the shot smashes through the Taussendfuessler's side. Its tank treads lurch to a halt and the Barrelions fall backwards into the hangar. But celebrating would be very presumptuous as a Lion lunges down from above, slashing at your machine with a Roche Saber!

But the damaged one still fights back... swinging its frame at an opportune moment and smacking Kagura agains the hangar's walls! It doesn't stop there though, instead charging to smash you flat!

From everything here it's definitely looks to be the vessel's main power reactor, with a large vertical tower running through the room and crackling with energy. There's no override by the looks of it... but you can at least smash through them...!

Your water blast strikes into it full-force, pushing it away, seeping into the damage Skald and Archibald already inflicted, shorting systems out... water pressure is not to be underestimated as the machine is blown apart by your attack!

And while she's stuck in the engine room with no way of stopping the engine overload, you're at least able to go and find where the hostages are!

(5:25:14 PM): [CAT TEAM] Vlaams Leger's leader is at first taken aback as he sees the Smildon smash down nearby him, but when only a cat comes out to greet him he almost looks relieved. For all of five seconds as suddenly Skald attacks! Crying out in disbelief and pain, his face is scratched by Skald, forcing him to drop Adèle Romilly and fend off his feline foe!

(5:25:29 PM): Alex came to a halt, breathing heavily as she saw her enemy blow up in front of her. It looked like there were no more attacks. The hostages had started leaving the transports as well. Even so, she moved over to help protect the hostages, just in case Vlaams Leger was going to deliver a final suckerpunch
