cubey@aol.pl (21:05:44): The Japanese city where the conference was going to take place comes under attack - a series of explosions sounds through a residential district.

Wyverncakes (21:16:10): * "Not in the mood for talk? Fair enough. But whatever you're here for, whoever's paying you... I've taken down losers like you before!" Wagner runs towards one two-story building and springs on top of it, then jumps off of it to get in front of this crazy bomber again! "And I'll do it with one arm tied behind my back!" The Wagner's tendrils lined up shots, firing at the machine full force!+

griefgathering (21:31:39): *Lenore leaves the transport and immediately heads for one of the Vandals. She runs along the side of a building before leaping off of it and onto the enemy, drawing her sword from her back and slashing down on its head!+
tengusaur (21:32:06): Asagi: "It'd be good if we at least knew what we're dealing with. I doubt they're just normal thieves." He shakes his head and then focuses on the task at hand. There's something not right going on here.
Aero (21:32:57): Willis: "I would have thought that you'd be used to facing the unknown by now."
cubey@aol.pl (21:33:11): The Vandal turns around to see what the commotion is about - in time to notice a human-sized enemy slicing down and cleaving its head in two.
cubey@aol.pl (21:33:48): Damaged, the unit tries to quickly retreat - and another one, standing on a crossroads, fires a micromissile barrage from a shoulder-held launcher. Lenore, react!

cubey@aol.pl (21:35:21): The handgun bullets are intercepted by the shield - but the Second Fortune also takes opportunity of it being raised, and kicks off the physical barrier to get away from the spear, which only nicks it!

tengusaur (21:37:57): * Asagi descends towards one of the Vandals, trying to sweep its feet with a swift kick and then slash at it with his katana. This shouldn't cause too much collateral. +

cubey@aol.pl (21:38:49): The Vandal is knocked to the ground by the AHSMB's assault - but it doesn't wait for a followup slash, and tries to roll out of harm's way while the muzzle of its assault rifle flashes, firing back. React!
griefgathering (21:39:06): Lenore lands on a sidewalk, where Kazan disappears into her arm again. She mounts her larger blade, Almadel, on her back and starts to move to get a better position...
Aero (21:39:13): * Nanomachines flow from Strahlend, spreading out from the machine to cover as many parts of the city as it possibly could. He needed to draw whatever machines they had out of hiding. At the same time Willis forms a long spear with a near as long bladed tip and charges at the nearest Vandal he could find, aiming to impale the machine along the spear. +
cubey@aol.pl (21:40:56): The Vandals respond to Willis' call - it seems there aren't any more hiding around, but the one you are attacking responds by trying to retreat furiously.
cubey@aol.pl (21:41:32): And another one suddenly is lifted into air - using a grappling hook to attach itself to a taller building. From above, it fires an anti armor cannon at the charging Strahlend, from the side. React!
tengusaur (21:41:43): * Asagi jumps to the side, trying to circle around the enemy while he's shooting, and approach towards him while he does so - and as soon as he's close enough, he stabs at the opponent's arm. +

cubey@aol.pl (21:45:06): The AHSMB moves around, bullets flying into the air with one or two causing ripples in its barrier and no damage.
cubey@aol.pl (21:45:32): The firing is suddenly cut short as the blade thrusts down on the firing arm of the enemy, also immobilizing the Vandal.

Aero (21:45:59): * "Too slow." With his nanomachines spread through the area Willis could instantly form weapons with them from almost anywhere. He uses this to instantly form several dozen metallic stakes that converge onto the Vandal from all directions. At the same time the spear is reconverted into a dense shield that he raises to block the shot fired at him. +

Wyverncakes (21:46:35): "You're a pretty crazy lady alright."
Wyverncakes (21:46:59): "But you're right that we don't really need to know. Not gonna change how this dance goes in the slightest!"
cubey@aol.pl (21:48:04): The Vandal fires - once, and time again. The first shot damages the shield, the other breaks through it!
Wyverncakes (21:48:05): * Wagner keeps up the offensive, tossing its spear to its off hand and bringing up its sword again. Another quick thurst came out to cut off an escape vector, and the then that was the sword's turn to come hacking down at the Second Fortune!+
cubey@aol.pl (21:48:44): The pilot aims for a third shot... and blades from all directions impale the machine, which goes limp and drops from its sniping spot, metallic spikes sticking out of it
griefgathering (21:48:59): *While the others are engaged directly with those, Lenore makes her way around to those missile-pod equipped Vandals. As she closes in, she breaks into a sprint and lights up the thrusters on her broadsword, propelling her forward as she spins thrice! She's aiming to damage the legs on one of these things at least...+

cubey@aol.pl (21:52:16): The Vandals spread, seeing Lenore spinning towards them. One is caught in the sword's strikes, falling down to a knee as its lower leg is cut off.
cubey@aol.pl (21:52:31): The other drops a few grenades while retreating, thinking little of endangering its damaged ally!

griefgathering (21:54:23): *Lenore thinks quickly, and unfortunately the damaged enemy may be her only way out! She uses it as a stepping stone to leap straight into the air, flipping and drawing her revolver to fire at the retreating foes!+
Aero (21:56:51): * Strahlend dashes over to the fallen Vassal and picks up the Anti Armor Cannon that was being wielded against him earlier. "Heads up!" Willis takes aim and empties the remaining rounds towards the chest of The Second Fortune, hoping that the size of the round would hopefully knock the machine away or at the very least cause enough damage so that the cannon wasn't useable. +

cubey@aol.pl (21:57:54): But, the grenade's explosion under its feet knocks it to the side - while Lenore too is thrown away, but she was too far to suffer damage more meaningful than some pieces of shrapnel.
cubey@aol.pl (21:58:39): On the other hand, the retreating Vandal took some hits, and the other one has a pile of twisted metal for lower body, unable to move.

cubey@aol.pl (21:59:40): The force of the energy cannon blasts the Wagner away! The unit tears into a housing building, its shield melted and useless.

griefgathering (22:00:02): The Kijin handsprings to right herself and slows herself by stabbing her sword into the ground. Lest she hit a nearby wall.

griefgathering (22:02:13): She pulls out one of those pieces of shrapnel though, and then it reveals itself to be much nastier than she thought. "..."

tengusaur (22:02:25): * Asagi doesn't intend to let Second Fortune get away now! Blue One takes off into the air, quickly throws its spear at the unknown woman's machine, then descends, grabbing the weapon and stabbing deeper with it! +

cubey@aol.pl (22:03:58): But, the Vandal left behind by Asagi uses the opportunity to change firing arms and shoot off a short salvo, while another one aims with an anti-armor cannon - and tries to interrupt the assault by shooting the AHSMB out of the night sky!

Wyverncakes (22:05:26): * Looks like there's still a use for that shield though! "Head's up!" Wagner's tendrils grab hold of it as the machine spins around, hurling it at the Vandal's backside to knock it down!+
Aero (22:06:36): * The nanomachine swarm is ordered to devour the molten shield to reinforce their numbers as Strahlend spreads its wings and takes to the sky. "Quite a few left..." Nanomachines surround the Anti Armor Cannon, feeding it with somewhat primitive brittle ammunition that is fired as rapidly as possible towards the Vandals that would hopefully shatter upon impact and fill the machines with shrapnel. He couldn't risk using anything solid that would pierce through. +
tengusaur (22:06:53): Asagi: "I see them!" He engages into an upwards evasive maneuver, away from any buildings that may take any further damage during the fight. Throwing the spear at the enemy leader will have to suffice when it comes to offensive maneuvers, for a moment. +
cubey@aol.pl (22:08:40): The cannon firing Vandal is knocked off-balance by the thrown shield - which quickly disappears.
cubey@aol.pl (22:08:54): Following it, several rounds fired by Strahlend pierce through it and cause it to explode from the inside.
cubey@aol.pl (22:09:21): The same fate befalls the headless Vandal, which lacked sensors to spot the danger coming.
cubey@aol.pl (22:10:19): Asagi throws his spear - which leaves a gash against the Second Fortune's front armor as it backs off - then fires a hook shot to the side and swings, disappearing behind one of the larger buildings.
cubey@aol.pl (22:11:05): The remaining missile launcher Vandals take aim and send swarms of projectiles towards the Strahlend - from two directions simultaneously!

Wyverncakes (22:13:36): Running a quick systems check to make sure he's still golden, Roy's focus shifts away from the Second Fortune to the mystery lady's mooks.

tengusaur (22:14:54): Asagi: "These enemies are skilled. It's obvious they're not just common terrorists."
Wyverncakes (22:15:00): * Wagner lunges at the daamged missile launcher-toting one, hurling its spear straight at the machine's chest while actively aiming AWAY from the gun itself!&
Wyverncakes (22:15:46): "Might be skilled, but totally bad life choices! They're going down here, every one of them! Including Madame Mysteriousness!"
griefgathering (22:16:12): *Lenore makes her way to the remaining heavy cannon vandal, firing a few shots to get its attention!&

Aero (22:16:31): * "Alright then..." The cannon in his hands are devoured to form more nanomachines that surround Strahlend, more stakes surround the machine and fire out in every direction to destroy the missiles or direct them away from him. Once the stakes are launched Strahlend's wings close and the machine begins to descend down back towards the ground. +

Aero (22:16:50): Willis: "They're of the same overall quality though."

cubey@aol.pl (22:17:14): The enemy was busy firing at Strahlend... and subsequently protecting itself from the stakes that flew in all directions.

cubey@aol.pl (22:17:49): The spear pierces the Vandal through the chest! It stumbles back, dropping its launcher... but already tries to grab for an assault rifle.

cubey@aol.pl (22:18:29): Willis' defense was mostly successful, with many micromissiles exploding. A few however hit Strahlend, causing light damage - the unit is tough, so nothing serious yet.

Aero (22:18:58): Willis: "Ah...she just realized how bad they are."
Wyverncakes (22:19:01): * "TAKING THIS!" Roy shouts as he does a running drop-kick into the Vandal to scoop up its missile launcher.+
cubey@aol.pl (22:19:34): The cannon-wielding Vandal gets hit but is quick to return the attention, aiming its gun to fire at Lenore. React/conitnue.
cubey@aol.pl (22:20:35): The Vandal doesn't manage to fire a shot, the dropkick causes metal to fly to the sides and the unit drops down, not getting back up.

griefgathering (22:22:45): "It's not that easy to tell...anyway..." *Bad nickname realization aside, this is an enemy that has to be dealt with. Lenore suddenly lunges to get under that cannon and uses her free arm to summon a proportionate version of her shadow Phantom Arm. "Try this!!" The arm closes around the cannon's barrel and bends it, to hopefully cause it to explode!+
cubey@aol.pl (22:24:21): The Vandal seems frozen solid in surrpise to a giant arm out of nowhere, the whole of it succumbing to an explosion of the cannon and the ammo it held.
tengusaur (22:24:33): * Without the enemy leader in sight, Asagi keeps an eye out for her to show up again. But in the meantime, he fires a short burst at one of the normal Vandals with his machinegun, and then follows up by rushing at it and quickly drawing his katana to cut off the enemy's limbs! +
cubey@aol.pl (22:26:26): The Vandal ducks under the fire, and tries to shoot back - with the katana falling down on its arms, it can no longer do so.
Aero (22:26:42): * Strahlend reforms its spear and locates the Vandal closest to it before tossing the spear towards it. In the midst of its flight the weapon is joined by several more stakes to ensure that the machine was destroyed. +
cubey@aol.pl (22:26:50): ... Instead, its torso opens, revealing a similar (but smaller and much cruder looking) beam cannon to the one the Second Fortune had.

cubey@aol.pl (22:29:10): Its sole remaining arm clutches at a pair of grenades - and quickly chucks them at Strahlend in response. React.
griefgathering (22:29:21): Lenore: *"Heads up! Here...!" A swing and release, and the Kijin's blade flies through the air. Its thrusters ignite and send it spinning across to try to strike the Vandal's cannon before it fires!+
tengusaur (22:29:32): Asagi: "...Crap!" He swings his katana at the enemy's leg and then kicks the enemy, trying to knock the mech over on its back so the cannon will go off into the air as opposed to any of the buildings. Or himself. +
cubey@aol.pl (22:30:55): The flying weapon strikes - the charging cannon fizzles and backfires, a small explosion inside the enemy's chest, an enemy who is suddenly knocked down to the ground and does not get back up.
griefgathering (22:32:20): The sword returns like a boomerang to a raised hand that beckons it.
Aero (22:34:03): * "You'll have to do better than that." The Nanomachines permeated the area gathered as the grenades were thrown, moving in to devour the grenades before they went off. +

cubey@aol.pl (22:35:15): The heavily damaged Vandal seems to have run out of options...

Wyverncakes (22:37:11): The Wagner runs full-speed to try to get to the Second Fortune, opening up a channel to any ESUN people at the safehouse area!

cubey@aol.pl (22:50:13): The Vandal's bullets are intercepted by the arm - they just hit against it uselessly, and the unit tries to change into a different weapon or explosives but before it can, the palm of the phantom slams into the torso and removes most of it.

Wyverncakes (22:52:34): * Roy... has the Wagner leap forward to try to get away from the explosions, letting the pulse from the blast send him sailing past even the Second Fortune and... "Like I said, tunnel vision! Only thinking 'bout moving forward!" He grabs hold of the previously-fired cable to to bungie right back into the Second Fortune!+
tengusaur (22:52:53): Asagi: "Roy...!" He rushes in, firing short bursts one after another at the Second Fortune. He aims carefully, making sure the bullets don't hit any buildings that might have people in them even if the enemy misses - but he tries to hurry at the same time, so it';s a maneuver that requires a lot of concentration. +
Aero (22:56:26): * Willis retrieves his spear from the previously impaled Vandal and has the stakes dissolve back into a cloud of nanomachines. As he passes by he swings the spear through the last remaining Vandal before sending several more stakes towards the Second Fortune in time with Asagi's assault. +

cubey@aol.pl (22:58:51): The Second Fortune fires off a hookshot, trying to escape the multitude of attacks as Roy's cut heavily damages its head, Asagi and Willis dealing critical damage to its torso and cannon section.
cubey@aol.pl (22:59:26): It tries to retreat, several grenades left in its wake to dissuade the melee combatants - which means Roy! React, again.
cubey@aol.pl (22:59:55): At the same time, the last Vandal dodges to the side, the spear ripping its arm off - but it turns around and fires remaining missiles at Strahlend from behind. React.
Wyverncakes (23:01:18): * Want to run away? Fine! For one last good measure, Roy hurls his spear right at the Second Fortune!+
Aero (23:02:04): * There was no more time to waste, instead any defensive manuevers he charges straight through. Ignoring that the missiles would hit his machine dead on. The spear in his hands is then swung downwards to sever the remaining Vandal in two. +
