Mission 103 - Alea Iacta Est
Aero (21:48:36): After what seems like a much longer period than it should have been, the gathered Earth Fleet (Or at least those nice enough to still get along with the Unity Group) has finally arrived at the Wulgaru Gate....unfortunately a massive Wulgaru force was waiting for you. Even with all of the units the Earth could muster for this Operation the numbers still seemed stacked against you.
Aero (21:49:34): 2 HOURS EARLIER
Aero (21:50:55): Majestic Bunnies and friends! You guys have been gathered into the Godinion's Briefing Room. In front of you is Commander Suzukaze. Behind her is a screen showing the details of the Wulgaru Gate that is most definitely not a Crossgate.

tormterra (21:52:33): Kei was standing there in the briefing room, already wearing her pilot suit and her hair tied up so she can quickly slip on her helmet and be protected in case of a cockpit breach. She's paying keen attention to the explanation. More than anybody else, it's her duty to know what's going on, after all
frifreeman (21:53:18): Walt is there as the leader of the 8th Genoace team
tengusaur (21:53:29): Asagi looks even more serious than usual. He almost doesn't show signs of his stomach ulcer bothering him.
Aero (21:53:57): Commander Suzukaze: "I know this is a bit sudden but with the amount of Wulgaru Forces that we expect to be guarding the gate and the forces we lost thanks to the Balmarians and the Zentraedi the plan has changed slightly."
cubey@aol.pl (21:54:10): Izuru... was standing to the side of others. He is not allowed to sortie, and the Team Rabbits' manager actually keeps him on a kiddie leash to make sure he doesn't run away.
Meraxa (21:54:13): Ataru stands silent, slightly somber. He's not had the most rest since the battle with the Balmarians, and having this weight on their shoulders too...

Aero (21:56:13): Commander Suzukaze: "The goal remainds the same, however without the Macross we'll have to change our approach."
Aero (21:56:28): She points to the direct center of the Gate.
Aero (21:59:17): Commander Suzukaze: "I'm sure you can all tell but we've deduced that the control system for the gate is gathered at this core. The plan as of now is as follows. Team Rabbits have been equipped with target markers that will send the firing coordinates to the rest of the fleet. Once we destroy this core we're sure that the Gate will collapse in on itself."
tormterra (21:59:49): Kei nodded just once, following a rather crisp military protocol. "Understood."
Aero (21:59:52): Commander Suzukaze: "The Genoace Team and AGE-1 will serve as backup to Team Rabbits and protect their rear."
Wyverncakes (22:00:04): Flit nods.
Wyverncakes (22:00:23): "Just this, and it'll be anotherthreat stopped..."

tengusaur (22:02:57): Asagi: "Everyone remember, don't fire the markers until you have a clear line with no enemies on the way to shoot them down. Blue One, launching!"
Wyverncakes (22:03:08): Flit: "AGE-1 Assault Jacket, launching!"
Wyverncakes (22:03:35): It would've taken the AGE Device too long to compile a form for this kind of heavy assault mission, but Flit didn't let that stop him.
frifreeman (22:04:12): Walt: "This is it team, you ever want to be in a battle that end a war? This is your chance. If you ever want to tell your grandkids that you were part of the offensive that ended the Wulgaru War, this is the easy part.
tengusaur (22:04:52): Tamaki: "Rose Three, launching...! Hey, let's have a party after this is all over! Alright?"
tormterra (22:05:40): Kei: "Right, we will." She gives her fellow Rabbit a nod and a small smile
tengusaur (22:05:42): Looks like all of Team Rabbits is present here, armed with the markers they're supposed to fire at the gate. Except for Red Five...

Aero (22:06:02): In front of you...is an absolutely massive wall of Wulgaru forces. Even if they weren't expecting Team Rabbits getting to the gate would be hard.

Meraxa (22:08:08): Ataru locks his particle gun together, though Gold Four is decked out in as much firepower as it can carry. He attempts to snipe the humanoid drones, and clear a path for the more forward units+
tormterra (22:08:26): * "We need to break through. Ataru, fire at the drones I list to break up their suppression fire on Asagi. Genoace team, maintain formation and support Asagi's flanks. Look out for the battleships, I'll keep an eye out for openings on them." +
tengusaur (22:09:13): * Asagi fires a long burst from his machinegun, to serve to cover his approach as Blue One moves in to engage the enemies in melee. As soon as he's close, he draws his katana with a single swift gesture and starts slashing through humanoid drones as he passes them by! +

Aero (22:10:27): [Ataru] The beams start hitting targets easily, even if you weren't aiming for them the wall of Wulgaru meant it was hard to miss. However, a barrage of fire from the Capital Ships also meant that even if they weren't aiming for you some were headed your way. [React!]

Meraxa (22:12:07): Ataru tries to shift about as he continues firing, trying to find a hole in the barrage to, well, hole up in.+
Aero (22:12:37): [Asagi] One, two, three, four. Blue One cuts through the humanoid drones with ease. Naturally, they start chasing after you, releasing a barrage of small beam shots. [React]
Aero (22:12:43): [Flit can go for now]
Aero (22:13:49): [Ataru] Thanks to some of Tamaki's missiles, some of the barrage is eaten up by the explosions and make a safe hole for you to hide in. It's a good thing she was around Ataru!
tengusaur (22:15:09): Asagi: "Several on my tail... Should be able to handle them." He starts to lead the enemies on a high-speed chase through the battlefield, quickly evading their shots... Before suddenly turning around and swinging his katana to intercept some blasts and/or send them back at the attackers! +
Wyverncakes (22:15:09): * Keeping back to cover the Rabbits, Flit has the AGE-1's DODS Cannon brought down, lining up a shot and letting his X-Rounder powers guide when he pulls that trigger... waiting until "-Now!-" he can shoot down a cluster of the mobile drones in one go!+
Aero (22:15:10): [Also feel free to take your extra Kei action Ataru]
Aero (22:17:03): [Flit] Your totally not newtype powers makes it easy to see the exact path the mobile drones were going to fly through. The drilling beam fires out and one by one the mobile drones run into the beam and are destroyed...unfortunately for you there is a LOT of them and some make it through and rain down beams at you. [React]
Meraxa (22:18:06): Now that he's in a relative comfort zone, Ataru shifts his targets to the drones around Asagi, trying his best to pick off them and not his own ally+

Wyverncakes (22:19:32): * And for when the Assault Jacket's feeling the heat, that's what its thrusters and extra armor are for! "Beam vulcan charged...!" And as the Gundam skirts away from th swrm, a flurry of weaker beam blasts shoot out to punish their ranks for thinking they could tangle with him!+
frifreeman (22:19:42): Walt: "You hear the strategist ladies. Move up guys!" The Genoace team moves toward ASagi's flank and spread their attention, looking for any threat

Aero (22:21:30): [Asagi] The reflected shots are more than enough to deal with your attacks. Things seem pretty clear for a moment...but then something bursts through the cloud of dust caused by the destroyed humanoid drones. A angel-like yellow lined machine slams it's palm into your chest and then charges a large ball of yellow energy to dunk into your ASHMB. [REACT]

tengusaur (22:23:15): Asagi: "What...? It's her!" He's surprised just for a moment, but then quickly reacts, letting AHMSB's instincts kick in. He tries to evade the attack, raising his katana in a defensive block! +
Aero (22:23:39): [Walt and Ataru and Leos and Flit] The gigantic barrage from all four units easily clear out the mobile drones in a brilliant fireworks show that lit up the night sky.

That ends as some free floating wreckage explodes, in the wake come the form of the Amazonw which is charging right for the yellow Angel like machine intending to get up close and get it off Asagi. "NO YOU DON'T!"

Aero (22:29:03): [Raquel and Asagi] [Ah...how boring, there are so many pests here.] Not that you can hear her speak or understand her but the Wulgaru pilot seems bored with the sudden arrivals. As the Amazon charges in recklessly Blue One is saved from the built up energy...for a second as Lutiel tosses Blue One towards the new arrival and then tosses the built up energy at the both of you. VJockey (22:32:24): *Leos simply targets Lutiel, swinging the Karasawa Mk2 at the Wulgaru Commander and sending blast after blast of raging plasma at the angel-like unit.&
frifreeman (22:32:31): Walt: "Everyone! Open fire!"
tengusaur (22:32:35): In any case, Asagi quickly tries to dodge to one side, avoiding the incoming energy. A plan is forming in his head, but to do that, he needs to survive first...! +
frifreeman (22:33:15): The spread over 8th Genoace team follows train Letiel with their Dods gun and start to rapidly fire their guns toward her.

tormterra (22:33:33): * "Genoace team, don't get involved with the fight involving the enemy commander. Instead move to the location I'm pinging and shoot the following enemies, it'll break up the formation of their right flank and give her less support so she can be overwhelmed. Flit, lay down suppression fire along the path I'm giving to keep the left flank away and expand the opening." +
Meraxa (22:34:48): Ataru: Gonna need some heavier firepower to get through all this... I wonder... *Ataru sends a signal towards Godinion, requesting... something.&
Ginkan SK (22:35:15): Raquel says "End of the line for you today!" Raquel however now has blast comming at her, she is not her mother, not yet so she ain't even going to think about trying to parry that. Nay she's aiming to dodge her machine out of the way+
Aero (22:35:41): Commander Suzukaze: "What is it Gold-4?"
Meraxa (22:36:33): Ataru: Requesting permission to cut loose with the big guns!
frifreeman (22:38:57): Walt: "So you're saying it's over our head eh? Sad, but true I guess. Okay team, shoot someone that's closer to your own level!"
Aero (22:39:36): [Leos, Asagi, Raquel, Walt and CO] Lutiel flicks both wrists of her machine, forming two long beam sabers from her wrists and against all common logic she starts to deflect every single projectile shot her way. As for Asagi and Raquel you dodge the projectile...but it then detonates unleashing a huge swarm of needle-like beams that starts to envelop the both of you! [Leos continue, Asagi and Raquel can react, if you can fit in your action now is the time Asagi.]
frifreeman (22:39:48): Walt's move into a back-to-back formation and start shooting the drones instead.+

Aero (22:41:24): Commander Suzukaze: "Do we have anything like that?" She seems to be having a conversation with someone off screen and a few moments later... "Alright, we're detaching the Godinion's weapon systems. Gold-4 the controls will go to you. Purple-2 try to make as much use of it as you can, he'll require sufficient targetting data."
Aero (22:41:53): And as she finishes her sentence the Godinion's front detaches and boosts towards Gold-4.
tormterra (22:42:10): Kei: "Understood. I'll establish the connection like at the academy."
VJockey (22:42:12): *Leos simply keeps firing, watching Lutiel's defensive measure as she swings and deflects the shots trying to get a grasp of the timing. He simply smirks and sends a ping over the comms, signalling a snap of a beam sniper round sent at one of Lutiel's arms+
tengusaur (22:43:20): Asagi: "...I have a plan. Tamaki, approach the enemy leader from F3! Kei, Suruga, stay on your positions and get ready to fire! Make sure no other hostiles are near! Whoever can support them, try the same!" While he's giving commands, he quickly swings his katana, trying to use it and the energy shield to thin the amount of energy needles going into his direction... While at the same time he's moving closer towards Lutiel, trying to engage her in melee with follow-up strikes! &
tengusaur (22:43:52): Tamaki: "Huh? Ohh... I see! Leave it to me!" Rose Three starts taking a wide circle around the battlefield.
Meraxa (22:44:16): One can hear a slight squeeing sound as Gold Four hooks itself into the Godinion's forward half. "Ready to go. Kei, you set?"
tormterra (22:44:55): Kei: "Understood." A quick nod and a scan of the area, cleared as she'd given directions too before firing off a cable to establish a more reliable, secure connection between Purple-2 and Gold-4. "Ready, Purple-2 is handling the calculations for your shot. Fire when Asagi gives the word."
Aero (22:45:50): [Leos and Asagi] [Cute] As the beam sniper round comes in Lutiel goes into a spin, the Wulgaru machine now more resembles a spinning energy top that easily deflects away the shot and sends more of those needle-like projectiles at the AC team. She gracefully exits her twirl to meet your melee strikes Asagi. Damage was starting to build up thanks to those needles. You might want to hurry because she is overpowering your katanas as well, the steel was starting to melt against those lightsabers. [What an amusing Lamata.] [React Leos crew and continue Asagi]

VJockey (22:46:57): *Leos simply kicks up the thrusters and dodges wildly at full speed, as do his teammates.+
Aero (22:47:50): [Walt] The drones are more of a fitting enemy for the Genoace Team, thanks to overwhelming DODS fire the drones continue to explode. The humanoid drones take notice and take their own formation to charge at Walt and friends. [React]
Wyverncakes (22:48:26): * This Wulgaru might be a fan of spinning to winning, but she was't the only one who mixed that with beam weaponry! The DODS weapon takes aim, Flit continuing to fire again andagain while moving in closer to take the fight to her!+
tengusaur (22:48:45): Asagi: "It's not looking good... But I just need to hold on a few seconds more..." He's mostly using defensive, wide movements, trying not to suffer even further damage... And then, suddenly, he swings Blue One's left arm forward, the coil around it unfolding into a whip-like weapon, which swings at Lutiel's machine's arm and pulls hard, trying to throw her momentarily off-balance!
tengusaur (22:48:54): Asagi: "Now, Tamaki!"
tengusaur (22:48:59): Tamaki: "Take thiiiiiis!"
Aero (22:49:08): Lutiel: [What!?]
tengusaur (22:49:56): * And Rose Three uses this opportunity to pass by, and while doing so, the big fat AHSMB releases a long tether line, which attaches to Lutiel's machine! Rose Three tries to drag it behind it! &
tormterra (22:53:41): Kei: "Calcualtions set, fire at the indicated time."
Ginkan SK (22:54:04): Raquel is jut going to keep this person as busy as they can keep th thing's attention. She's now staring to fire bursts of Energy. Though she's clearly punching towards the enemy unit as she does so. Hopefully she can just keep it off balance for the others+
Aero (22:54:22): [Asagi, Leos, Flit] Lutiel's attention is forced away from the two ASHMBs just for a second to deflect the drilling beam with her one free hand...and it cost her. The tether attaches and starts to pull Lutiel away. The ACs take some heavy AP damage but judging from the situation the trade worked out for you guys. [Don't get ahead of yourself] She activates the beam saber again and looks ready to cut the tether. [If you guys are gonna do something better do it quickly!]
Aero (22:55:34): [Team Attack Unlocked!]
tengusaur (22:55:38): Tamaki: "You should look where you're going!" Suddenly Rose Three drags Lutiel's unit right into one of the enemy battleships with great force! And then releases the tether and flies to safety!
tengusaur (22:55:51): Asagi: "Now! Suruga, Kei! Everyone who can help! Fire!"

tengusaur (22:56:26): * Blue One readies its beam cannon and fires a wide blast at Lutiel's machine and the Wulgaru battleship it was slammed into! +
Meraxa (22:56:35): Ataru unleashes more dakka, chiefly a vast particle beam unleashed repeatedly from the bow of the ship - and even if they miss, he'll happily accept hitting the other targets around Lutiel!+
tormterra (22:57:28): * Kei joins in as well, firing her gatlings at the enemy before she can recover, just in case. +
Wyverncakes (22:58:09): * Ask and you shall receive! The double-barreled DODS Rifle, the beam vulcans, and the cannon all take aim, Flit unleashing his very best hi-mat burst!+
VJockey (22:59:55): *Leos and company unleash a barrage of their own. Plasma, lasers and missiles go hurtling through space towards Lutiel.+
Aero (23:00:16): [Majestic Bunnies and friends] Lutiel's machine crashes into her own fleet, she looked primed and ready to escape...before the barrage started to rain down. Over and over and over again...the Wulgaru Commander did not seem scratched at all by anything and yet it was still clearly being damage. The Coup De Grace finally came by the hands of Ataru's massive particle beam. [...Ha this isn't very graceful is it.] The Wulgaru Commander speaks her last words as the beam sweeps through, disintegrating everything in it's path. When the dust finally cleared, there was an open path to the Gate.
frifreeman (23:00:20): Walt: "Look at those gifted people, fighting enemy leaders. What a great spectacle." (Walt isnt' joining the attack, he's just shooting at drones.)

tengusaur (23:02:15): Asagi: "Alright. Time to end this!" Blue One takes aim and fires its marker right at the Wulgaru gate. +

Aero (23:03:28): [Yes every ASHMB should be equipped with at least 2? IIRC]
Meraxa (23:04:11): Ataru: Go Asagi! *Ataru hangs back, unleashing suppressing fire around the surroundings to keep Blue One's path clear+
Aero (23:04:31): [Asagi] The marker...........hits! The signal rings out and all of the Earth Forces in the area receive the targetting data.
Aero (23:04:43): Commander Suzukaze: "Now all of you get out of the firing zone!"
VJockey (23:05:19): "moving."
tengusaur (23:05:43): Asagi and Tamaki quickly pull back. Better not get caught in the area of the attack.
tormterra (23:05:45): Kei: "You heard her, fall back everyone. Follow the path I mark, maintain formation." Sending out directions to everybody Kei starts moving to the left to get out of the line of fire before it's too late
Wyverncakes (23:07:25): Flit's pulling back too.
Wyverncakes (23:07:33): "We got them."
Aero (23:07:58): Once the area was clear the Straggle Laser was charged, the Earth Fleet fires their most powerful weapons towards the core of the Gate. Flit you might recognize one of those ships. It's the Diva.
Meraxa (23:08:22): Ataru: This fight is over!
VJockey (23:08:43): "...Naive..."
VJockey (23:08:48): "Its never that easy.."
Aero (23:08:51): The mass of energy flies forward towards the Core and................
Aero (23:08:53): fizzles at the very last moment as it hits a hex-like grid of barriers.

Meraxa (23:09:03): Ataru: ....Oh COME ON!

Aero (23:16:27): [Flit and Asagi] Turns out your X-Rounder senses aren't. It only takes a second but charging into Jiart was one of the worst decisions you have made. The clear image of Jiart delimbing the AGE-1 was shown to you and yet...you couldn't react fast enough to make use of the vision. The AGE-1 couldn't keep up with your senses anymore. Sparks fly out and within a brief second the AGE-1 has been reduced to a torso with a few simple swipes of his blade.

His lack of dual-wielding was clearly showing you that he was not seeing you as any kind of threat. With a single stroke he cuts through the last projectile and then deflects the blade as well before raising his right hand and unleashing a barrage of his own projectiles at point-blank range. Aero (23:40:32): [Ataru] The overwhelming barrage is met with another...the lone ship-weaponry equipped ASHMB vs the Wulgaru Fleet. The new orange fleet seemed different...their defensive positions were much stronger and they didn't seem to lose a single ship in the exchange. On the other hand...lots of lasers coming your way Ataru. Dolgama himself retreats back to the safety of the Lumez fleet, it didn't look like he was nearly as bloodthirsty as the other two Wulgaru Commanders. [React]

Aero (23:47:06): [Asagi and Ataru] Somehow you manage to sever the massive beams fired by the capital ships, giving Ataru enough time to snipe down a single Capital Ship that decided to break formation. However, given how much work that took to take down a single ship this was not going to be easy. It'll be even harder when Asagi notices that the elbow joint in one of Blue-1's arms is fried.
Wyverncakes (23:47:10): * "Leave the Vagan fleet to me!" The AGE-1 takes off after the rear fleet, drawing its Shigeru Blade in one hand while it carries a (heretical to its design philosophy) DODS rifle in the other. And first thing was thinning out the known threats! WIth its speed the AGE-1 flew at the Gafrans and Baqtos, spinning and slashing into their heads and chests!+

The damage...can only be called inconsequential and in exchange the arm is fried completely, you would be better off just removing the arm. Which Jiart is more than happy to do for you. The sense that he is merely toying with you might be growing. The white machine tosses the arm towards you with a bow and then takes off again....towards Blue One! AGAIN! [React Asagi!]

In the blink of an eye the older models were reduced to scrap metal... that doesn't stop those new ones from firing their oversized beam cannons at you. [React Fritos]

drascin (00:01:42): *And the blast is going to get met by a small skiff coming from behind the Earth lines, glowing with a SEAL field at full bore - and realizing that she can't stop it, per se, what Kagura is going to do is try to utilize her own massive energy output and the power of her energy-gravitational SEAL field to cause the ball of doom to veer off course in an angle, giving the two rabbits a wider berth to dodge. Good thing she actually studied her physics!+

Jiart seems to be ignoring Izuru's pot shots, but Izuru was right. It was annoying him. Without even turning to face Kagura he tosses one of his swords towards the armored Mistletoe and then follows it up with a long stream of blue energy. As for the opponent he cared about, the other sword is pushed downwards to force Izuru's chainsaw away from him before following up with a thrust towards the ASHMBs chest. [React Kagura and Izuru]

So, cold as a grave, Kagura moves to the side, ignoring her own momentum as her movement usually does, letting her SEAL field slow down the beam and sliding to the side carefully, letting the beam slide off and recover its normal speed as she moves+
Wyverncakes (00:44:19): * Suddenly a DODS Rifle shot comes out, the gun having been fired backwards between the Gundam's torso and arm to the unsuspecting Vaga suit! Hit or dodge, from there Flit carries on his spin and lets his knife finally finish this joke off! The Shigeru Knife cuts along the suit's guns, in one smooth move! "And you're not getting away!" Taking advantage of the nature of space, the Sparrow spins around mid-axis, cutting into the suit's limbs one by one... and then lastly a finishing stab into its chest! "NOW DIE!"+

Soon the rest of his team follows, and streaks of spinny laser flies toward teh vagan fleet.+

With how easily it was shifting it's vectors the machine seemed like it was breaking physics with it's movements. As the beam is deflected Jiart almost seems to smile. The beam is cut in two by Jiart, who easily catches his own blade and combines the two weapons into a dual-ended blade and whirls it towards Red-Five. Aero (00:53:57): [Walt and Flit] The DODS rifle destroy any additional Vagan forces that wanted to launch from their ships. Ther time stomping over the Genoace was over, this time they were the ones that were hunted. The ships are forced to start pulling back. As for Flit...the Shigeru Knifes starts going to work, one after another the limbs are cleaved off at a speed that was not normal for the Gundam. The blade begins to buckle under the wear as each limb is cut off. The last thrust strikes true and....the blade shatters...it did not withstand the wear and tear of your rage and now the chest of the last Vagan machine there lit up. This was a familiar weapon Flit. Aero (00:57:23): [Izuru] [There you go, now you understand!] Jiart catches his blade as the chase continues. When the beam erupts through the asteroid Jiart whirls his blade in his hand, completely deflecting the beam and sending the stray energy flying everywhere. With a simple slash the beam cannon is severed in half and might just explode in your hands if you keep holding onto it Izuru or if one of the many energy bullets Jiart is now firing also hit it.[React]

And while she may not be able to explode him, she can definitely be a bloody nightmare, flying around in spirals, throwing pelting shots at every opening with machine-like exactitude, and dodging even before Jiart begins to move, knowing when he's going to attack as he grows fiery enough for Kagura to feel his aggressive intent - all in all being a horrible pain in the ass, forcing him to give his back to Izuru for even a second+

Ginkan SK (01:09:49): Raquel had been doing what she could to fight the enemya s the Vagans fare handled she tuens her attention towrds the enemy ranks and thinks she's got a hell of a challenge. This gets a grin on her face. The drones were handled by the battleships which acted as carriers. So she gets an idea she starts to gather her personal energy and starts flying towards one od the ships. She's got an insane plan as her machine start to seem to burn with blue fire. She's going to try to kick through one oid the battleships using her Chi to turn the Amazon into a high speed blade more or less.+

[Teoria] This pause does not last long as Kagura's assault approaches...if beams were terrible to use against you, any projectile was terrible to use against the Wulgaru prince. Without moving from his position every last shot was deflected in every possible direction. Not once is he forced to leave Izuru an opening.

Wyverncakes (01:15:42): One quick grab and weapon test later, and he's rewarded with a modest-length beam saber. "... This should work then!"

This might be the time where you must sacrifice your best friend to defend the greater need. Putting the one who've been fighting with you the closest to enemy fire. I'm talking about your shield, of course." Walt's team move from the b front and follows the princess, shooting at drones and ready to block enemy shots with their shield.+
Aero (01:35:47): [Rest of the escort team] With a distraction quickly making itself known, more and more of the wild Wulgaru drones break off from formation. The others are easily cleared out even by the damaged AGE-1 and Blue-One. Once she was in a safe position any wild drone that gets near are eliminated by the Genoace Team. Her ASHMB-like machine grows a large pair of glowing energy wings that seems to amplify her signal.
Aero (01:39:12): Teoria: "People of Wulgaru, listen to my words. My name is Pleguzesia Teoria. I am a descendant of the great Dakihaan as well as the one that shares the genes of the rightful ruler of the galaxy, Eguzes Galkie. Those who hear my voice and still believe in me. Pleguzesia Teoria orders that you retreat from this battlefield."

Aero (01:58:46): [Izuru] Jiart detonates the energy ball behind Izuru, attempting to catch him with the shockwave at the very least. The white machine quickly mirrors Izuru's movements, the flanking attempt only met with failure and gives Jiart just enough time to impale Red-Five through it's chest. [Is this the best you can muster Lamata?] His other arm charges up yet another burst of energy...if you keep fighting like this Izuru it would be all over. You wouldn't die a hero. You would die a pointless death in space and everyone would be killed by Jiart. Everything that you fought for would have been pointless. All the people that you met and grew to care about would die...just like her. [React]

The machine breaks free from the wings and grabs Red-Five, dragging it towards the gate. As it does this another long energy saber forms from his free palm and is thrust towards Red-Five [React!]

Setting the computer to a few quick calculations, she fired her electrified spikes at the most likely spot to dodge Flit's shield to in order to stun him and stop him in his tracks. +
drascin (02:14:46): *Yeah, about that whole charging up a blast thing. You might notice Kagura is attacking without her skiff. That would be because the small gunboat, mentally piloted by remote by Kagura, comes out of nowhere to slam straight into his gun+

Aero (02:19:29): [Izuru] The blade is evaded and the sharp energy digs into into Jiart's unit for a second before they're expelled by yet another burst of energy. Despite all of that you cannot escape from the grapple and a second later Red Five is slammed into the gate...hard. Another energy blade forms on Jiart's unit and he seems to shift their form into beam whips...and starts lashing both at you while you're stuck in part of the Gate Izuru. [React!]

Aero (02:23:18): [Defense Team] And he just couldn't get his way, that coward Lumez had retreated and now in a moment of triumph he was being stopped by damaged lamata. The whip and electric wires hit the commander as he tries to evade the shield. After that his own blast backfired thanks to a random gunboat, the machine finally showed very visible damage but was still moving his last arm towards the thrusters. [I will win]

He did not seem to care, the only thing he cared about was the hunt and his lamata was finally in his hands.

drascin (02:33:33): Kagura simply moves out, keeping an eye out for further trouble and studying how the damned duel is going

Aero (02:38:34): A massive explosion that caught both Jiart and Izuru within it. Everyone else has been blown away.
tormterra (02:39:19): Kei braces for the blast, keeping her eyes fixed on her instruments to try to see where Izuru went once the interference created by the explosion abated
Aero (02:40:47): It takes a while but for all of the interference to clear, there's a massive amount of wreckage. Nothing seems to be moving in the area at all. All hope seems lost...until a small glint of red.

drascin (02:41:12): Kagura doesn't need instruments. She's what she is. If Izuru is alive, she'll know it

[Now let's end this hunt!] And he swings the blade towards the recklessly charging Red Five....'s armor. [It can't b-] Impact, the single punch finally tears through the near invincible Jiart. The explosion had devestated the structure of the Wulgaru machine and all that was needed was one last push. [...Ha...well done....that was a good fight. You did well my Lamat-] And finally Jiart has been killed.
