Wyverncakes (15:20:44): But it seems some divine force wants lightning to strike twice, because suddenly alarms begin to go off...
Wyverncakes (15:21:29): And for anyone in Star Rose, your footing is also at risk as the station rumbles slightly!
Wyverncakes (15:22:01): And the cause?
Wyverncakes (15:23:03): Suddenly you're all contacted, either via on-base alerts or otherwise if you're out, possibly on said date.
Wyverncakes (15:23:46): Antov: "It's the Wulgaru!"
Meraxa (15:23:56): Ataru: This close?! *Ataru blinks at the message, but wastes no time in reaching the Hangar*

Wyverncakes (15:25:26): Antov: "Yes, they never pushed this far before!"

tengusaur (15:26:01): Asagi stumbles out of the car, and it looks like he's going to barf for a second. But he regains his footing. "I'm here...!"
Wyverncakes (15:26:30): And joining in the conversation is Suzukaze, her game face on.
Meraxa (15:26:47): Ataru: Hope you didn't pull the trigger, or that could sour the whole thing with the timing

Wyverncakes (15:28:14): Suzukaze: "The ESUN and GDF are currently engaging, but there are still forces pushing their way towards Star Rose as well. The Godinion is primed for launch when Team Rabbits is ready."

Meraxa (15:29:32): Ataru: Right. We really don't need them gaining a foothood this close
Wyverncakes (15:29:45): Anyone with the chance to take a look outside of Star Rose can see the bursts of light and explosions of battle. There's certainly a lot going on to say the least... with groups of Wulgaru drones slipping through to keep Star Rose pre-occupied as well.
Wyverncakes (15:30:57): Of minor note, but the humanoid drones are sporting a different shade this time too.

cubey@aol.pl (15:37:43): *Red Five charges one of the Wulgaru units while shooting at it with its chainsword/gun thing. As Izuru gets close though... "Yaaah!" He spins, trying to flank the unit and delivers a whirlwind slash!+
tengusaur (15:38:34): Asagi: "Kei, find out if more enemies are on our route. I'm going to take point!" Blue One draws its katana and points it forward - and then launches quickly, dashing towards several of the humanoid drones and slashing at them with wide, quick swings while passing through. +
Wyverncakes (15:39:09): [Izuru] Said Wulgaru machine had been more pre-occupied trying to maul a Daughtress pilot, but the quick strikes cut it apart before it could finish the old mobile suit off!

Wyverncakes (15:39:52): The pilot doesn't -and possibly can't- answer back, but the machine still flashes a thumbs-up before falling back closer to Star Rose.

Wyverncakes (15:41:31): [Asagi] Blue One's charge catches another of the drones off-guard and leaves a deep cut in another... but the damaged one still keeps going, stabbing at Asagi's machine with its claw!

Peter Kampschroeder (15:41:43): Eva: "Rodger, Red Five. I will take a flanking position."
Wyverncakes (15:41:56): But more worrisome is what Kei'll get from her sensors.
Wyverncakes (15:42:22): Yes, more Wulgaru forces are breaking off from the main engagement to attack Star Rose.
Wyverncakes (15:42:56): Not just a few more, but multiple waves, some already well on their way... and leaving a trail of explosions and trashed warships in their wake!
tengusaur (15:43:09): Asagi raises his katana to parry the incoming claw - and while he does so, Rose Three flies past and peppers the attackin humanoid drone with rapid fire lasers! +

Meraxa (15:43:24): Ataru quickly sets up his particle gun, keeping his distance as he tries to pick out some targets, and once he has time, "There!", he shoots, going for a headshot!+
Peter Kampschroeder (15:43:49): *Eva: "Assisting." The photon rifle blasts out in its high-powered mode, picking off any isolated or slowed down units she can find.+
Wyverncakes (15:44:58): [Asagi] Katana and claw clash, but only briefly as Rose Three's lasers pummel the machine's backside, making the drone lurch forward before exploding.

Wyverncakes (15:48:52): [Ataru and Eva] And further back, Gold 4 and the Huckebein Omega's shots blast apart another two Wulgaru drones... but Kei's warning comes not a moment too soon though! A flurry of beams lance out from another incoming pack of drones at both of you, all of them hurtling in full-speed towards Star Rose!

tengusaur (15:51:24): * Asagi: "Are they trying to wear us out?" Blue One gets in the way of the incoming blasts, swinging its katana to reflect some of them and intercept the rest with its shield. And afterwards it rushes forward, firing a long burst from its machinegun at the incoming forces as a counterattack! +

cubey@aol.pl (15:52:16): *His eyes glance over the enemies' markers. The launcher Red Five uses opens up, and fires off a beam to cut off their advance route - and then sweeps it over them!+
Wyverncakes (15:54:21): [Izuru, Asagi, Eva and Ataru] The evasive maneuvers prove sufficient, neither Gold Four or the Huckebein taking damage, and the retaliatory shots making them have to start dodging as well. And that clears up time for Asagi and Izuru to begin opening fire as well, shredding the latest wave and thinning out their numbers significantly.

Wyverncakes (16:12:39): Randy though lets out a somewhat disappointed groan. "Jeez... we show up to help bail them out, but then most of them are turning and splitting..."

Wyverncakes (16:12:59): He gives off a sad little sigh.
Meraxa (16:13:16): Ataru: Yooooooosh! Let's see what this baby can do! *Ataru floats over the cannon, readying to dock*

Wyverncakes (16:14:47): Once you're all set, Rose Three's free to blast off and cut through the sky like a meteor!

tengusaur (16:17:16): Asagi: "Eva, you okay? Huckebein doesn't have a shield like AHSMBs do." He's trying to keep a straight face but he's not feeling super good about this, either.
Wyverncakes (16:17:40): You're coming in hot, the world all around you, just being seen through a burning red lens, the world whipping around you.
Peter Kampschroeder (16:17:44): Eva: "There's the TK shield. And...I'm fine. Definitely."

Wyverncakes (16:18:42): As you get closer and closer to the ground, you can also make a large group of Wulgaru machines off in the distance, coming in at a shallower angle. You're getting into range!
Wyverncakes (16:18:58): And Ataru, Gold Four is now sporting its very own battleship cannon!

Wyverncakes (16:21:35): Suzukaze: "Gold Four, the weapon has two separate configurations. One is the pin-point, lightspeed cannon setting; the main setting... but there is an additional sublight particle cannon. At this range the particle cannon's power will suffer, but you'll be able to use it while the pinpoint cannon is charging."
Wyverncakes (16:21:43): And yes, targets in sight...

Peter Kampschroeder (16:24:39): *Eva: "Seems that way." She shoves off, and opens fire with burst mode down on the mooks-aiming to catch any too slow to react, while the others go for cover or dodge.+

Meraxa (16:27:15): Ataru: Roger... lets try it out! *He switches to the particle cannon, and aims for a few of Klein's escort machines.* Firing! *He yells, because with the nature of the weapon, probably best to give some warning+
Wyverncakes (16:27:25): [Eva] The Wulgaru didn't expect anything as crazy as your re-entry maneuver, and the Huckebein Omega's burst fire tears through two of the drones as the rest of the group is forced to scatter... Klein's machine spinning around like a top before it flicks out its long, serpentine left hand to claw your gun to ribbons!+

cubey@aol.pl (16:29:10): "Go awaaay!" *Rose Three accelerates and tries to smash its shields into the boss unit, or at least disrupt Klein's attack.
Wyverncakes (16:29:31): [Ataru] The particle cannon shots come hurtling down, smacking into one of the Drones and sending it into a spinning plunge... damaged but not destroyed. A second isn't as lucky though, multiple shots managing to overwhelm even its defenses.
Peter Kampschroeder (16:29:33): *Eva jets the Huckebein to the side-tossing its gun to the other hand as it does so. It keeps falling, for that matter, so the robot's coming closer to the claw as it falls.+
Wyverncakes (16:31:44): [Eva and Tamaki] Klein's claw narrowly misses the gun, but the length of the limb still lets it cut into the Huckebein's arm! But as Tamaki gomes zooming by, Rose Three seems to be wobbling a little too much... and just barely grazes the Wulgaru machine! Something's wrong with Rose Three... and Klein's quick to act by opening fire with its meaty right hand!

VJockey (16:33:57): *For anyone looking at their sensors (Kei probably) they would find rapidly approaching contacts. Drop Pods from the look of them. Ones which have their latches quickly blown out as they split open and disgorge the machines inside of them! The one that was in the lead kicks the re-entry resistant panel between Klein and Tamaki!+

Wyverncakes (16:36:34): [??? and Tamaki] The buffer isn't the best, but it didn't need to be. Re-entry panels can take a lot of punishment, and this one helps keep Rose Three from suffering even more damage!

Wyverncakes (16:38:29): [Asagi] W!Klein jerks back as the spear swings at him, and again with the follow-up. But when Blue One stabs, the left arm lashes out to coil around the weapon, stopping it cold... and then throwing Blue One towards a charging drone to gut you with its claws!

tengusaur (16:40:22): Asagi: "Stopped cold?! Tch..." While getting thrown back he spins around, drawing his katana again and slashing it at the arms of the drone attacking him. And then he follows up with another, vertical strike, to the chest! +

Peter Kampschroeder (16:41:16): Eva: "I'll even do you a favor, and promise not to melt any of your men's brains with my secret power."
Meraxa (16:41:20): Ataru: Just passing by... in drop pods? *Ataru tries to find the target he hit earlier that survived, and finishing it off with another shot!* Firing! *He again yells, with the distance increasing+
VJockey (16:42:14): *Leos moves in to assist Izuru in his attack, launching several missiles as well as letting loose with the Karasawa Mk-II as he moves in concert with Red-5. In addition his wingmen Boyle and Remille supplement his weaponsfire with a beam machinegun and beam sniper respectively+
VJockey (16:42:35): "It was the fastest way down."

As for the drones... Remille takes a pot shot before activating her sensor jammers and boosting away... Boyle... chooses to take the hits head on, draw a TSF Melee Halberd - a Great Sword to be precise - .... and proceeds to completely use it wrong by swinging it around like a club as he charges.+

The Huckebein hits the ground from that shoulder-check, so it loses its target on Klein's robot. To counter the claw rake, Eva shoves her rifle up towards the drone's chest-no time to deploy the bayonet-and blasts away at full power.+

Boyle on the other hand... gets his machine torn up a bit before the halberd comes smashing down, only to be caught in the grips of the drone, cracked, get crushed, and then Boyle's machine is spinning away from a fierce punch.

There's less than a second between when the shot is finally released, and when it will hit something. For something that fast, even the heights of the atmosphere are a trivial distance. But it then springs, lunging and closing the distance with the Huckebein almost immediately, both claws and tail striking out striaghtforward, from the side, and from below as well as the drones attack from the oppsite flank! Well, one drone, Ataru's particle cannon finishing off the other one.

It executes a series of slashes that leave behind bluish trails of energy, that, oddly, will also do additional damage to the target!+

cubey@aol.pl (18:13:09): *At the same time, Rose Three was high above, with Tamaki firing a quick blast of spread lasers before falling down, her AHSMB's shields pummeling down on Klein, trying to pin him with sheer mass and size.+
tengusaur (18:13:11): * Blue One tries to grab Klein's other arm, and not just that - Asagi also tries to also pierce it with his katana, stabbing through the hand and into the ground! +
Meraxa (18:15:20): "Firing!" Ataru doesn't hesitate, and pulls before he finishes speaking. He knows that it'll cut things far too close, but he can't let this guy get away! Even as the cannon tears itself apart from his actions, his focus remains on seeing if the tssk is done!+
VJockey (18:15:26): *Leos moves with Asagi, attempting to pin down the other hand!+
Peter Kampschroeder (18:16:49): *Eva slips in, moving to try to pin the boss to the ground with her bayonet. While others handle the hands, she goes for a foot!+
griefgathering (18:19:16): "Ah...?" Mystery woman didn't expect them to LITERALLY pin that thing down. She's kind of at a loss here, but it looks like they have it handled.
Wyverncakes (18:19:40): [Ground people] Klein is grabbed from both sides, its smaller hand finally showing the damage done to it as the katana runs through it onto the ground! Both it and Klein's foot are pinned down, but it thrashes viciously! Its tail comes swinging up, slashing along Blue One and the Ethermaster's frames, and Red Five gets its chest mauled by Klein's other claw! Rose Three's shots and shield pressure the Wulgaru... and then Suruga pulls the trigger.
Wyverncakes (18:19:46): Best to bail now everyone!
tengusaur (18:20:27): Asagi: "...Now!" He lets go off the arm and jumps away from the beam at the last moment!

Wyverncakes (18:23:16): The blast is much like before, but with all of you that much closer you're blasted away, crashing into the sloping hills or plains. Mystery lady gets off easier though since she hadn't taken part in all of that.
Wyverncakes (18:23:38): Up above, the Godinion's cannon sizzles, sparks, and burns out.

tengusaur (18:26:28): Asagi tries to take a step forward, but that causes the damaged Blue One to fall to one knee. It can't do much in its state.
