tengusaur (14:34:18): The entrance to some kind of underground facility, hidden within mountains in America.
VJockey (14:34:27): [Leos was downright determined to find out, it was too much of a coincidence that just as soon as Nineball came back Lana dissappeared.]
tengusaur (14:34:41): The large, steel building is looming before you, its main door open, dark tunnel leading deep inside.

Wyverncakes (14:35:24): Elma's been trying to check all the online records he can to see if there's anything indicating who built this place.
cubey@aol.pl (14:35:28): Red Five is not his to use as he wants to. It was hard to convince Commander Suzukaze to go out on what may be a wild goose chase. Or a trap.

Peter Kampschroeder (14:37:04): Eva tags along silently in the Albatross, its black frame looming over some of the smaller mecha. Summoning it far ahead of combat is out of the ordinary-she's expecting trouble.
Aero (14:37:36): Willis is getting back into things, at the very least he's glad that they're not having to raid yet another temple of Volkruss.

tengusaur (14:41:52): But suddenly, as you enter, several lights go up, letting you see the place better!

tengusaur (14:43:26): Lana: "I knew you'd come. I knew you wouldn't pass on the opportunity to find out the truth."

tengusaur (14:45:04): Lana: "Soon you will learn everything..." Suddenly, the Nineballs raise their pulse rifles, aiming at you!

Meraxa (14:45:28): Ken: Well, if that's not throwing down the gauntlet, I don't know what is...
frifreeman (14:45:35): Kakizaki: "Uh oh..."

VJockey (14:48:54): *Instinct kicks in, seeing the Nineballs attack springs off the desire to kill all to easily as he raises the Karasawa to unleash streams of plasma towards the lead machine!+
cubey@aol.pl (14:49:47): *The AHSMB strafes around the Nineball group, its pistols firing rapidly as it tries to seperate one of them from the others.&
frifreeman (14:49:59): Kakizaki dives into cover and starts spraying vulcan bullets toward another Nineball. "Miss Lana, and here I thought we had a thing. D:"
tengusaur (14:50:13): Lana's Nineball raises its own laser blade, slashing in the air several times as it springs to the side, sending its own sword beams! Not only do they collide with Leos', intercepting some of them, but several also are going into his direction now!
tengusaur (14:50:29): Lana is surprisingly good. Her unit does suffer some light hits, though.

tengusaur (14:51:24): Izuru, your fire manages to draw one of the ACs in! But it zig-zags between the pistol rounds, avoiding them, and sends a long burst of pulse fire from its rifle into your direction! (react)

tengusaur (14:52:16): Kakizaki, the Nineball hides behind one of the pillars, which intercepts most of your fire. A dust cloud is raised... And suddenly a swarm of small missiles flies from that dust into your direction! (react)

Aero (14:52:25): * "Zephyr." Strahlend's wings light up and the machine takes off to get in the way of those beams. "Dreadnaught." Before they make contact Willis shifts Strahlend's mode again to it's more defensive form. +
VJockey (14:52:37): *Leos brings up his energy shield in a hurry to fend the attack off!+
tengusaur (14:53:33): Leos and Willis take on the attack together, their combined blocks intercepting the incoming waves with only some scratches.
cubey@aol.pl (14:54:03): "Alright!" *Thrusters on Red Five's back flare up - the unit quickly takes to the skies! Still it's not real flight, but rather a short and controlled jump, a really fast one to that. "Here I gooooo!" Izuru yells as he drops down on the Nineball, maneuvering between pulse rounds before slashing widely with the forearm blade!+
frifreeman (14:54:06): The setting is too cramped for aerial acrobatic, so Kakizaki just tries to shoot down each and every missile with his vulcan gun and the defensive laser on his battroid's head

Wyverncakes (14:54:45): Selena: "And right now we're seeing quadruple."
Wyverncakes (14:54:54): "So maybe it's the time for delusions, miss~"
tengusaur (14:55:11): Kakizaki manages to shoot down most of the incoming missiles, safe for one! It explodes nearby him, throwing his VF back!
Meraxa (14:55:17): Ken: There! *Ken attempts to join Kakizaki's fight, lashing his scarlet whip through the dust cloud to try and catch - and then throw - the Nineball!+
Wyverncakes (14:55:37): * Here's hoping that would rile her up at least a little, as the Soleares charged at one of the Nineballs, putting together its Stealth Boomerang and hurling it while the Grungust supported from range with a flurry of missiles!+
Peter Kampschroeder (14:56:01): Eva: "Do we really have to banter..."
tengusaur (14:56:10): Izuru descends towards the Nineball, his shield flashing as it intercepts some of the incoming fire - it's starting to take strain already. But he reaches the enemy and launches a powerful strike at it, leaving a big gash in the Nineball's torso!
Aero (14:56:38): Willis: "Of course, that's half the point of battle.."
cubey@aol.pl (14:56:42): Izuru: "I can see it! I can follow your movements... you're not the real Hustler One, you're just a copy!"

Wyverncakes (14:57:14): (One of the non-Lana ones. Not the one Kakizaki and Ken are going after)
VJockey (14:57:51): [Which is extremely discomforting to say the least because Lana's attack patterns....]
tengusaur (14:58:07): Ken grabs and throws the Nineball with his whip, before it can deal any more damage to Kakizaki! However, before crashing into a wall, the Nineball turns around in mid-air, firing its pulse rifle at him! (react)
tengusaur (14:59:30): The fourth Nineball starts swinging its laser blade, cutting at the incoming missiles - none of them reach their target! However, the stealth boomerang comes and almost cuts into it - but then suddenly the enemy spots it and dodges in time, getting only a smaller gash! The Nineball counters by sending more sword waves from its blade! (Selena react)

Meraxa (14:59:51): Ken responds by stealing the Nineball's own trick, releasing his whip so he can duck behind a pillar for cover, and let a dust cloud grow+
Peter Kampschroeder (15:01:51): *Eva opens up with a barrage of lasers from the Albatross's left arm and puny head laser on whatever Nineball target seems open. "It couldn't be something normal, of course..."
tengusaur (15:02:30): Ken ducks behind cover, a few of the shots zooming by and leaving marks on his armor. The Nineball crashes into the wall, raising a dust cloud, but quickly recovers and starts zooming to the other side of the room.
Wyverncakes (15:03:22): * The Soleares instead opts to fall back. It still seems to be caught in the path of those waves, but the Grungust quickly moves in front of it, its energized Doomblade swinging up to guard against the strikes!+

Aero (15:03:56): * As the smoke from Lana's blocked shots clears, Strahlend emerges from it in it's Zephyr form follow behind Eva's lasers, charging straight at Lana's Nineball. Mid-flight he creates Quicksilver again and swings the blade in a wide arc to try to catch the AC when it attempts to dodge the lasers. +

VJockey (15:05:31): *Leos doesn't make a quip at Eva, something of a first here as he unleashes several missiles on the Nineball Eva is attacking... and just as they detonate to rain hot, explosively driven metal on it, Leos lets loose with the Karasawa to make it even worse with Plasma!+
tengusaur (15:05:50): Lana raises her own blade, its laser edge clashing against Quicksilver! The two sword-wielding machines are now trying to overpower each other. (react)
tengusaur (15:06:03): Lana: "Do you think you have the advantage just because there's more of you?"
Wyverncakes (15:07:13): Selena: "Well why bring out your friends if that wasn't the case?"
tengusaur (15:08:07): The fourth Nineball is attacked by a whole swarm of lasers and explosives! It tries to jump between them, but gets hit by some anyway, and the damage slowly accumulates! It manages to go behind a column for cover, however, sending Eva an explosive gift from its grenade launcher at the same time. (react)

Peter Kampschroeder (15:08:38): *Eva will try to shift out of the way of the grenade's path, giving it a shot from the head-laser as she does so.+
VJockey (15:09:14): *Its hiding behind the column you say? FIRE A LASER AT THE COLUMN WHILE CHARGING AT IT AND THEN KICK IT ONTO THE NINEBALL!+
VJockey (15:09:46): [He surprised Nineball with the sword kick! So he's going to have to go with unconventional tactics!]

tengusaur (15:09:59): The grenade blows up mid-flight, creating a large explosion that makes discerning what's going on very difficult...

cubey@aol.pl (15:11:37): *Izuru has his own enemy to deal with! Red Five jumps to the side to flank the enemy, but tries to keep the Nineball close in melee - the chainsword is equipped, and Izuru's unit jumps up again, trying to skewer the enemy with an upward slash. While airborne, he lowers the weapon and adds a powerful barrage to the mix!+
frifreeman (15:12:08): Kakizaki pushes a lever, and his battroid turns into gerwalk mode. Hovering in the air, it circles around the third Nineball and unleashes a swarm of missiles from around it.+ "Hey guys, do you think I'm really delusional? Don't you think I'd be able to melt Lana's icy heart given time?"
Meraxa (15:13:32): Ken: ...Are you seriously trying to get a date in the middle of a battle?

tengusaur (15:14:17): Taking advantage of the momentary chaos on the battlefield, Leos destroys that pillar and makes it drop down on the opponent! It crashes right into the Nineball heavily, smashing it! That's one less...
tengusaur (15:14:33): Also, the whole room creaks ominously. That pillar wasn't here for no reason.
Wyverncakes (15:15:01): Elma: "... Oh dear."
Peter Kampschroeder (15:15:38): Eva: "...we should leave."
Aero (15:15:41): * "Having fought on both ends of that I'm gonna say maybe, speaking of which." Willis stops for a second before forming a second sword in his left hand and swinging it at Lana's exposed side. +
tengusaur (15:16:14): Izuru's strikes deal a large amount of damage to the Nineball - but not as large as he'd expect, as the machine moves back and dodges quickly. Still, it's doing pretty badly... But that doesn't stop it from rushing at him, laser blade in hand, and slashing with several powerful vertical swings! (react)
VJockey (15:16:20): "...I probably shouldn't do that again."
tengusaur (15:16:44): Kakizaki's barrage of missiles actually destroys the previously heavily damaged Nineball! That's down to two...
tengusaur (15:17:44): Willis creates a second blade, slashing at Lana's side, and cutting into it! Though the cut is only shallow, because her Nineball spins around and goes out of the way, disengaging from the blade lock and sending three grenades towards Kakizaki's VF.

cubey@aol.pl (15:18:10): *Izuru's chainsaw blade locks against the laser blade for a second. Just for a second though - he extends Red Five's other arm, trying to make the force field hold the enemy weapon in place. Just so the blade can slash down on Nineball's arm instead, and damage or sever it!+

frifreeman (15:19:10): Kakizaki pushes another lever, and his gerwalk turns into fighter mode! It flies up a bit before scraping the ceiling and forcing him to turn his mech back into battroid mode. "Ow ow ow!"

VJockey (15:19:22): "Kakizaki! MOVE! QUICK!" *Leos is going to open fire on those grenades with his laser cannon! Hopefully he'd be able to cause a chain reaction among them to cause them to detonate early and away from fumbles!+
tengusaur (15:19:29): Izuru's force field starts to receive some serious strain, and it won't hold for very long! But very long is not needed, and his chainsword suddenly goes down on the enemy's arm, severing it in a shower of sparks!
Meraxa (15:19:50): Ken tries to shadow Lana's Nineball from behind, emerging from his hiding spot.He draws his machine's Scarlet Shotels, and attempts to slash them into Lana's back!+

tengusaur (15:21:33): Leos runs interception, blowing up the explosives prematurely. This lets Kakizaki escape their area of effect and not suffer any real damage... Except self-inflicted damage, at least.
Wyverncakes (15:21:57): Elma: "Selena, considering the condition of the shaft after losing that support, it might be better to rely on close-range attacks at this point."
Wyverncakes (15:22:17): "Oh that can be arranged. Albhard, would you do the honors?"
Wyverncakes (15:22:18): "Gladly!"
Aero (15:22:24): Willis: "You might want to tell the others that."
tengusaur (15:23:05): Lana notices Ken's attack and quickly turns around, raising her laser blade for defense! His two weapons slowly start to overpower her single one, however, causing sparks as they lower down on her Nineball's arm... But she still has the pulse rifle in her other hand, and fires several shots at him point blank! (react)

VJockey (15:23:47): "KEN!"

Wyverncakes (15:24:01): * Grungust and then the Soleares charge at Lana's Nineball, Doomblade slashing out though the length of the blade is kept on the lower side... and then suddenly out from its side comes the Soleares, Sol Razors drawn and aimed at the Nineball's side!+

Meraxa (15:25:44): Ken: Tch! *He has such a chance here... but considering his preference to survive... He'll try to sidestep - at least to get it away from his cockpit - as he tries to free one Shotel up to slash at the Nineball's exposed side!+
Peter Kampschroeder (15:26:49): *"Hm..." Eva slips in towards the non-lana nineball, its sword switching into position as it moves forward. Its arm briefly glows green as it brings its wrist-blade up from the ground in a fast snap attack.&
Aero (15:27:27): * Without a word Strahlend changes into it's Zephyr form and quickly flies over to grab ScarleTiger and fly away before it's cockpit was reduced to a pile of molten metal. +
tengusaur (15:28:11): Seeing Eva approach, the Nineball turns around to face her! Its sword arm is gone, but it still fires several small missiles from its back launcher at her while she's rushing at it, and getting ready to use her special attack! (react/continue)
tengusaur (15:29:38): Three blades cut into Lana's Nineball, dealing severe damage to it. And then, before she gets a chance to reach her target, Strahlend swipes it away, the blade not hitting ScarleTiger - though it leaves a mark on Strahlend instead!
Peter Kampschroeder (15:29:52): *Eva: "...There." She sticks out the Albatross's left arm, firing another barrage of spread lasers-but her target isn't the Nineball, it's the missiles the thing is firing.+
Aero (15:30:08): Willis: "Whew just in time..."
VJockey (15:30:28): "Damnit Lana!"
VJockey (15:30:31): "Why!?"
VJockey (15:30:36): "Why are you doing this?!"
VJockey (15:30:43): "What's going on?!"
VJockey (15:30:52): "What the hell is with Nineball... and.. and you?!"
tengusaur (15:30:53): Lana moves back, hiding behind a column, and then firing a swarm of missiles at Selena and Albhard! Moreover, those missiles are just a distraction, as she suddenly rushes at them, her laser sword in hand! (react)
tengusaur (15:30:57): (Willis can still move)
tengusaur (15:31:12): Lana: "I think I told you, didn't you? Are you this stupid that I have to repeat it again?"
Wyverncakes (15:31:28): Albhard: "It was more like you DIDN'T tell us!"
tengusaur (15:31:48): Lana: "You will know, if you defeat me. Or are you this eager to forgive everything I've done to you?"
cubey@aol.pl (15:32:23): Izuru: "So you admit what a horrible person you've been!"
tengusaur (15:33:11): Eva's lasers blow up the missiles, making them explode around her hand. And then she stabs the glowing blade right into the center of the Nineball's chest! The machine slumps down with a slow powering down noise.
tengusaur (15:33:19): This just leaves Lana's unit.
VJockey (15:33:23): "What do you mean 'everything'?"
Wyverncakes (15:33:28): * Missiles met missiles as the Grungust fired off another salvo of its own, Selena's Sol Razors turning into their improperly named whip "Sol Fencer" configurations! One lashes out to repel the laser blade, the other snapping out at the Nineball itself!+
VJockey (15:34:15): *Leos lets loose another plasma volley, seeking to herd Lana towards someone else's path of attack+
tengusaur (15:34:43): (not your turn, make a support or something)
tengusaur (15:34:51): (only TOT has to move)
Peter Kampschroeder (15:35:20): There's the sound of some heavy breathing from Eva's end, as the Albatross kicks the nineball off of its sword. "Does it really matter if she tells us or not..."
Wyverncakes (15:36:32): Albhard: "Answers would be nice. Even if just for closure."
Aero (15:36:34): * Willis turns towards the battlefield again and forms Quicksilver again before reshaping it into some sort of shield before coating it in what looks like some reflective coating. He then tosses the improvised shield towards Lana's back to reflect any part of the beam whip that missed back towards the Nineball. +
tengusaur (15:39:27): Thanks to Willis' strange mirror attack, Selena's whip hits Lana's AC, damaging it even further! The defense against her attack wasn't entirely successful though - some of the missiles still hit the Grungust, and the laser blade cuts deeply into one of the Sol Fencers, damaging it heavily.
Wyverncakes (15:39:50): And considering how small those things actually are-

tengusaur (15:40:00): And while Leos fires plasma shots towards Lana, she maneuvers between them, rushing in for a stab with her beam saber! (react)

tengusaur (15:40:11): Lana: "Do you think such a transparent maneuver will work on me?"
Wyverncakes (15:41:47): Albhard: "Klein, the shield!"

cubey@aol.pl (15:43:04): *Red Five suddenly dropkicks at Nineball from behind. The kick isn't even supposed to cause any damage - just throw its counter attack off rhythm!+
VJockey (15:43:34): *The last time Leos tried to fend off a Nineball's stab with his shield he nearly died... which is why he's going on the offensive! He draws the melee halberd and is going to use the range difference to impale the Nineball as he makes a last minute manuever to limit the damage of the stab!+

tengusaur (15:44:40): Suddenly Lana's Nineball is kicked from the behind - kicked right into Leos' halberd! The AC is impaled on the polearm, which goes straight through its chest in a shower of sparks!
tengusaur (15:44:51): The Nineball limps down, electric currents rushing over its body.

The AC jumps to the side, though the weapon modules took some damage. It raises its arms at them and fires two long barrages of pulse shots! (Leos and Eva react)

Aero (16:12:32): *Willis forms Quicksilver yet again and this time the blade of the weapon starts glowing for a brief second before two of his own blade waves are sent flying out as he cuts the air in front of him. He's aiming to match Nineball's with them. +

tengusaur (16:14:07): Ken manages to dodge, disappearing between the working machines! Willis sends his own blade beams to match Nineball's, causing them to clash... And then get reflected off each other! Two of them fly into the machinery, damaging the Nineball production line, and causing some metal parts to crash on Strahlend and ScarleTiger.
Wyverncakes (16:14:08): Selena just pats her little robot on the head. "No. When you say you're acting in the interest of people, you actually mean it."

Wyverncakes (16:16:02): * "Right!" The Grungust turns to face the Nineball, its Maxiblaster charging up! But before it fires, out comes the Soleares's Stealth Boomerang again, swinging up and aimed at the damaged section of the Nineball's armor. And only then does the Maxiblaster shoot out, aimed to catch the Nineball on the opposite side!+
Aero (16:16:21): Willis: "It's already repairing the base just from minor damage?"

tengusaur (16:18:15): Nineball quickly dodges, to evade the incoming boomerang - apparently it can detect it - but then it suddenly gets caught in a crossfire of large beams from the Grungust and Red Five! It drops down to the floor, smoking a bit... But it immediately rushes forward, sending two large missiles flying at Selena and Albhard, before jumping towards Izuru and trying to slash him repeatedly with its double laser swords!

Aero (16:21:58): * The machine changes into it's Zephyr form again and moves itself so that it's directly in Nineball's way as it charges Izuru, two blades formed again to parry Nineball's own. "Don't get ahead of yourself." +
tengusaur (16:23:05): Albhard cuts right through the missiles - and through several machines in the background, which deals further damage to the facility (and two large beams were fired here recently too, don't forget).
VJockey (16:23:26): "Eva. I'm gonna be honest... I don't hate you as much as I thought I did."

tengusaur (16:23:58): Kakizaki and Selena put more pressure on the Nineball, forcing it on the defensive and scoring more hits on it! Willis jumps in to block its ferocious strikes, and Nineball has no choice but to move back for the time being!

VJockey (16:27:44): *Leos raises both his energy weapons to unleash a twin stream of laser and plasma at Nineball! Not only that but he disables the safeties on both the Laser Cannon and Karasawa! Seeking to push past maximum output - possibly to the risk of completely burning out the weapons!&
Wyverncakes (16:27:51): Selena: "Or how many people die, no doubt. Fair enough."
Peter Kampschroeder (16:27:54): *Eva takes to the skies, peppering Nineball with spread lasers to try to pin it down-and her chest laser cannon, if it's going to try to just sit there and take it.+
VJockey (16:27:57): "We're not asking you to stray from your task."
VJockey (16:28:06): "We're asking you to die."
tengusaur (16:30:07): Oh no, Nineball Seraph is not going to just stand there and take it - it suddenly dodges out of the way, quickly getting to the side to avoid Eva's fire! But then it gets hit by a piece of mechanical debris thrown by Ken (freshly taken from the factory), which knocks it off-balance a little - enough for Eva and Leos to hit it!
tengusaur (16:30:41): Nineball counters by firing its own, dual pulse shots from arm-mounted guns, and a whole swarm of missiles from the back boosters!
tengusaur (16:31:07): Also, Leos - your weapons are overcharged! What will you do?

Peter Kampschroeder (16:32:34): *No sense tanking these-she'll move to dodge, throwing up some point-defence laser fire along the way.+
VJockey (16:32:50): *Fire them until the barrels of his weapons glow and warp and keep pushing them to the brink until they're on the verge of complete destruction - then jettison them!+

Aero (16:34:49): * Willis lands next to Leos and the machine seems to change back into it's dinky regular form, however there's a huge metallic cloud that seems to flow from the machine over to Leos' AC. The cloud is directed to try to help absorb some of the heat and keep those weapons going despite the terrible overcharge. As Leos fires the cloud just keeps flowing as the ground itself seems to be eaten up below Strahlend's feat. +

tengusaur (16:37:14): Then Leos throws the overheated and useless guns forward, causing them to explode as Nineball hits them with its fire.
tengusaur (16:37:38): When the dust cloud from the explosion settles, Nineball looks heavily damaged...
tengusaur (16:38:14): But it's still going. And it doesn't give up. It's not like the mass-produced versions - this is the real article that will keep going as long as it can move.

Meraxa (16:42:29): More debris is kicked towards the Nineball...! But that's a ruse! Because from beneath, trailing in its shadow, is the ScarleTiger where it lets loose with the scarlet whip! Trying to hold the Nineball in place! "Leos, remember what you wanted more than anything else?! Take it!"+
Wyverncakes (16:42:40): * The Soleares throws the Stealth Boomerang again, but this time it winks out of existence courtesy of the Prism Phantom again! The Assault Scouter itself charges too, Sol Razor ready... but suddenly it spring up into the air again! "Elma, now!" The boomerang appears right before the Scouter, and Selena throws the dagger into the Nineball before taking both swords and plunging back down to the ground! "Carver Tempest!"+
frifreeman (16:42:54): To be honest, fighter mode in an underground factory might not be the best idea. Kakizaki's VF bounces on a wall and spins out of control "I have no regreet!."+
VJockey (16:43:48): *Leos ditches all his AC's wepons except for its Laser Cannon and Melee halberds.... what Leos aimed to do was to rush in and stab at Nineball - the impact no doubt possibly going to make the attacks of the others leave even more damage - and send them both crashing into the computer it came from and pin the damn thing there by the blades... and the moment that was done, boost backwards and bring the cannon for one final overcharged shot to bl
tengusaur (16:44:20): Albatross fires its lasers, limiting Nineball's maneuver area. Thanks to Eva's interference, the following attacks can hit much more easily!
tengusaur (16:45:45): Ken launches his whip, grabbing Nineball while its attention is taken by Eva's attack and the flying rubble! This lets Izuru rush in and slash at it, leaving a big gash!
tengusaur (16:46:35): Nineball raises its laser blades for a strike, trying to cleave through Red Five and send a wave towards ScarleTiger... But then it's attacked by Selena's combo and thrown off-balance, the damage it's taken accumulating!
tengusaur (16:47:54): And then Leos moves in, smashing right into Nineball and sending it flying back into the supercomputer! Before the crash, while in mid-air, Seraph starts firing its pulse cannons... But then it crashes into the computer, and gets hit by the cannon's overcharged blast!

tengusaur (16:48:33): The computer cannot take much more and explodes!
tengusaur (16:49:01): It's turned into a burning wreck... A wreck among which you can see the skeletal remains of Nineball.

tengusaur (16:54:04): One by one you get out of the facility! And just on time, too. Even when you're already inside, you can hear explosions at the lowest levels, and the sound of lots of stuff collapsing.
tengusaur (16:54:19): Soon after you leave, the final explosion shakes the entrance to the facility!
tengusaur (16:54:46): Lots of smoke is coming out from the inside... And what's left out in the outside starts to collapse as well.
tengusaur (16:54:59): The whole factory is gone, reduced to a ruin.
tengusaur (16:55:30): Nineball is gone for good. So is Lana.
