(12:02:33 PM): A short time ago, news was relayed from Star Rose of a crisis. Small in scale but with potentially crippling consequences.

(12:04:19 PM): Between the various shifts and skirmishes between the Zentradi, Wulgaru, and other alien forces in space, Commander Amane's ship was caught off-guard by a small Wulgaru detatchment, and suffered severe damage.
(12:05:14 PM): Fortunately they managed to drive off the attackers by some small miracle of tactical genius on Amane's part, but with the ship pretty much dead in space and the likelihood of another attack... things don't look good.
(12:06:03 PM): That's where you all come in, as you are currently on a shuttle making the best possible speed for the location of the distress signal. It's still been going, so at least things haven't gotten worse for them yet.

(12:12:04 PM): It's still a ways off from Amane's ship, but you can already see new, small plumes of explosions erupt along its form. The only saving grace is how minimal the Wulgaru attack force seems to be.

(12:26:15 PM): [Peola and Ataru] The drone Asagi'd previously slashed through doesn't get to live much longer, to say nothing of the interceptors blown apart from Gold-4's particle fire! BUT... suddenly both of you begin to come under fire from above!

(12:26:26 PM): *Izuru's eyes move around rapidly, following the flight paths of Wulgaru drones. Red Five's arms follow them one after another while the whole unit repositions itself in space, changing direction but still propelled towards the battleship.

(12:38:21 PM): *Red Five tries to hide behind the disabled battleship... but that's a ruse! Where Jiart would expect the unit to reappear at, there is nothing but space dust. Instead, Izuru tracks his flight back and strafes Jiart's unit with a tripple chaingun, the chainsword held in the other hand in case he tries anything funny!+

(12:43:14 PM): [Asagi and Izuru] Indeed it is, and you ruse actually might've worked better if not for Asagi's intervention! The drones scatter, and Jiart's machine brings its swords together and suddenly begins spinning them rapidly, deflecting the energy blasts away before charging at Blue One instead! Izuru's cunning fake-out and strafing run wind up hitting nothing but empty space, and before both of you know it Jiart's machine blasts by Blue One and swings a sword down to fell it... not as a hunter... but as an annoyed executioner!

(12:47:49 PM): [Asagi, Ataru, and Izuru] Between both Blue One and Red Five's swords, you manage to block Jiart's sword this time... and consequently keep Jiart in one locaiton long enough for particle fire to begin pelting his machine! Not like you can tell if it's causing any serious damage though... but with swift kick-off backwards he knocks you both back! Blue One goes much further though thanks to its own boosters... but that suits Jiart just fine as he charges at Red Five again, firing more energy blasts at it!

(1:01:50 PM): [Peola] Regalis Filia manages to catch two of the Interceptors on its blade like a shish-kebab... though the machine still gets winged by all of that crossfire! It still winds up in a better condition than one of those drones though when the machine comes rocketing back and slashing through the one you previously damaged before!

The chainsword strikes are, like Asagi's attacks previously, deflected by the spinning, joined swords of Jiart as the machine charges straight at you, the defensive maneuver becoming an offensive one once he's in range, smacking the chainsaw gun away before striking down on Red Five itself!

But just as he's getting into it, Red Five blasts by, cutting a small, but noticeable mark across the Wulgaru machine's shoulder!

Red Five weathers the exchange with just strained limbs, but Jiart pulls free one of his machine's swords... which now grows like a whip and lashes around Red Five's arm... pulling it in and off-balance for another attack!

Once it grabs the spear though, one quick spin and that drone is torn in half!

But it charges at Gold Four, capitalizing on its lessed weapon count now with as much firepower as the little machine can manage!

Which suits you just fine as you spin to win, spear cleaving through two more of the remaining interceptors... only to be caught in the grasp by a drone as it opens fire at you again from point-blank range!

Afterwards it becomes a abrupt storm of attacks and guards, sparks erupting from the two machines as Jiart indulges in that Midorikawa laugh. Red Five weathers the exchange with just strained limbs, but Jiart pulls free one of his machine's swords... which now grows like a whip and lashes around Red Five's arm... pulling it in and off-balance for another attack!

He's not done yet, though! He throws the spear at the drone, and then rushes forward to retrieve it - by grabbing it and swinging widely, through the enemy's body! +

(1:41:20 PM): [Asagi] Blue One's shields continue to put in work, taking the edge off the worst of the drone's attack until you plant your foot in its body and then run it through with the spear! Even as you charge at it, it keeps firing... and Blue One's starting to take damage from all this dakka shoved in its face. Once it grabs the spear though, one quick spin and that drone is torn in half!

(1:46:19 PM): [Peola and Ataru] Everyone clumped together though also means now suddenly the forces are all in need of scattering again! One of the remaining drones loses a limb in the process of evading and between the energy wave and those last missiles only one of the Interceptors makes it out intact! But it charges at Gold Four, capitalizing on its lessed weapon count now with as much firepower as the little machine can manage!

There's some worrying creaking from the AHSBM's leg joints though...

And as you suddenly changes gears and go for that chainsword again... it bites into Jiart's machine! For a split-second... you have him!

The beam launcher gambit falls flat, and he knocks you away again... only to follow up with both whips swinging out rapidly to force you to push Red Five to the max to evade in time!

(2:03:29 PM): [Peola, Kei, and Ataru] The remaining three drones certainly would love to come and bail out Jiart now, but the sudden pressure they're under from five different machines (counting Rakesh and Patrick) means their luck finally runs out... wwith their evasive maneuvers falling flat thanks to Patrick and Rakesh's aggressivneess. One gets cut to pieces, another headshotted, and a third gets the distinct glory of being pelted to death by Purple Two's guns.
(2:05:02 PM): [Izuru and Asagi] Izuru, you're in a bad shape as suddenly the joints in Red Five begin to just outright break down. Continuing to fight is out of the question for you... but fortunately other people have your back! Jiart's charge is beset by Blue One's shots and Randy charging in as well, giving Jiart pause!
