Below is a list of game-important locations. The list will obviously grow in time, as new canons are introduced and plot progresses. This list includes Unity Group bases.
Unity Group base list
Fort Alhambra - United States
Sakihama Base - Japan
Star Rose - space
Macross - mobile
These bases are all equipped with TSEN (teleporters basically). Because of that, characters can easily interact and meet up in-person even if they are stationed in different bases.
Other, non-base locations equipped with TSEN
Shu Shirakawa's second hideout - Falkland Islands
Roger's mansion - Paradigm City
Time-Space Extension Nexus
Time-Space Extension Nexus, TSEN for short, is a very advanced technology that allows us to instantly move people, as well as large-scale machines and supplies from point A to point B. In other words, it's a two-way teleporter system. Individual TSEN units are extremely expensive and thus rare, but they are (surprisingly) reliable and easy to use once installed - at least as long as things are sent from one TSEN to another. Sending them to other points in space produces unreliable results and is usually not allowed.
TSEN units come in two varieties - personal and large-scale. Personal units are for transporting small groups of people and can be used virtually without limits, except for inherent difficulties of moving people around. Large-scale units are used to transport mecha and supplies in any significant qualities. They are power-hungry and the transport can be used only sporadically.
All Unity Group bases are equipped with TSEN, usually of both kinds. This will most definitely never become a plot point. Totally.
LOCATIONS LIST
Space
Star Rose (Unity Group base)
A large and heavily guarded space station. It houses military units but also a lot of civilians, with recreational faciliites, shopping centers and is overall surprisingly comfortable and a popular tourist destination (for people who can afford it).
Canon: Majestic Prince
Asia
The Haran Mansion
Banjou's home. Exactly what you'd expect from an insanely rich playboy with a giant robot in the basement. Not a Unity Group base, but guests are welcome to visit more often than not.
Canon: Daitarn 3
The Hong Kong Shatterdome
The last of Pan Pacific Defense Corps' shatterdomes, humongous bases that used to house dozens of Jaegers. Only three remain in this one, in addition to Gipsy Danger which was transferred to Unity Group.
Canon: Pacific Rim
Sakihama Base
An oldschool underground facility located in an undisclosed seaside Japanese city. It is secret - people outside Unity Group may be aware they have a base nearby, but not where exactly. Sakihama has a series of tunnels that provide convenient and fast access to other points of interest in Japan, though they may not necessarily go all the way. The base's cover is a cheap hotel, actually used by the personnel as quarters.
Canon: SRWU
North America
Autobot City
Built in Canadian wilderness, it's a city where autobots and humans can coexist in peace. It is still under construction, but already has a formidable defense mechanism - the city itself is actually a gigantic Transformer, Metroplex.
Canon: Transformers G1
Fort Alhambra
An old military base somewhere in a remote region of United States. It was used by the US for military technology testing before being given to Unity Group. Because of that, the surrounding area is full of testing grounds and places where mock battles used to take place years ago, but not anymore. Despite its age, the location is servicable and both humans and their machines can be stationed comfortably.
Canon: SRWU
Paradigm City
A retro-style city on the American coastline where everyone lost their memories 40 years ago. It remained cut off from the outside world for a long time - why and how is a mystery. The city has a population of humans as well as androids who are treated like second class citizens.
Canon: The Big O
Mobile locations
SDF Macross
An ancient alien spaceship that crashed on Earth in ancient times and was discovered several years ago. About 50 000 civilians live inside it, unable to leave because of UN Spacy's paperwork and fear that they discover military-grade secrets.
Canon: SDF Macross
Freeden
A Vulture (independent salvage specialist) landship captained by Jamil Neate. Its goal is actually to find Newtypes and protect them from abuse. As such its crew cooperates closely with Unity Group, though they are not members.
Canon: Gundam X
Other
La Gias
A world hidden under Earth's crust. It is a place where mysticism and technology exist side by side, and are used together to create elemental-powered machines. Three most powerful countries of La Gias are Langran, Shutedonias and Bargonia.
Our access to La Gias has been lost indefinitely, but the location entry remains for informative purposes.
