cubey@aol.pl (17:22:03): Meteor 3 - a peculiar space rock inside which technology was discovered. Technology that later served as basis for several mecha designs.
cubey@aol.pl (17:22:44): The meteor still floats above ocean level right next to the island, rigs for access built around it. Yet it never touches the ocean's surface.
cubey@aol.pl (17:23:13): This is why, upon hearing news that the island was taken over by crystal monsters, Unity Group mobilized quickly to take it back.
cubey@aol.pl (17:23:35): And you are not the only ones - SSR has contacted you with an offer of cooperation. This is a joint operation.
cubey@aol.pl (17:24:10): At the moment, you are only one of several insertion teams that will strike at the island to retake it from the crystalline beasts.

cubey@aol.pl (17:24:47): As you approach the island, you see turrets built all around it - facing your direction, while unnamed drones fly towards you with hostile intent.

VJockey (17:29:01): *Peola's unsheathing her massive blade before resting the flat of it onto Regalis Filia's free hand, pushing ki into the weapon before thrusting it forward towards the direction of the hostiles! Aiming to take down some of the Ghosts with a ki-lance!+
Aero (17:29:13): * Willis is still borrowing one of the many Gespensts that he's gotten accustomed to piloting. The visor of the machine flashes and unleashes three Slash Rippers at the Ghosts. +
Aero (17:29:41): Willis: "Something is weird though, those things have no reason to attack Aidoneus."
tengusaur (17:30:00): * While dropping towards the ground, Scaraber pulls out its laser staff, spins it around while it's unfolding, and then quickly fires a barrage of laser blasts towards the Ghosts! Hetepheres uses the mech's wings to zoom to the left and right for better positioning, but keeps going downwards, towards the base. +

cubey@aol.pl (17:31:40): You obliterate your way through the attacking squad of Ghosts. Most of them explode quickly, the rest circling to try to evade you and reform for another go.
cubey@aol.pl (17:32:14): However as you get closer, the gun turrets fire canon shells! The air is suddenly thick from artillery barrage, coming from several locations, some pretty well hidden.

tengusaur (17:33:52): * Scaraber spins the staff in front of itself quickly, making it resemble a revolving shield protecting against the incoming blasts! Furthermore, the golden Noble Barrier provides additional defense against physical weaponry. +
Aero (17:34:32): * The PT dives down towards the water and attempts to dive under it while continuing towards the island, positioning the slash rippers above him over the water in case some of those shots got too close. +
VJockey (17:35:36): *Peola's going to try intercept those shells! How you ask? Charging up her blade once more and lashing out at them with a sweeping beam!+

cubey@aol.pl (17:37:01): At the same time, Peola's beam shoots through several of the bullets, destroying the turrets that shot them as well! However, others hit Regalis Filia, dealing light damage to it.
cubey@aol.pl (17:37:37): The defense systems are not top notch, all things considered... they are old and do not perform well anymore. You are able to pass them quite easily.

Aero (17:41:32): The fact that he's wasted several months trying to hide Strahlend to figure out what made the creatures tick was bothering him a lot.

VJockey (17:42:08): *The Regalis Filia readies itself for a long distance jump and sends itself tearing across the air towards the Chimera, Blade poised to cut the closest one in half!+

tengusaur (17:42:36): * Scaraber lands heavily on top of one of the turrets, not trying to slow down its impact at all. And then raises and rushes forward, Hetepheres trying to gauge the reaction of the creatures. &

cubey@aol.pl (17:43:32): It takes a clumsy sidestep, Peola cutting off its arm - and some of its body with it! However the crystal chimera's other, still attached arm, already swings back in retaliation, more crystals suddenly forming on its fingers in the shape of huge claws.

Aero (17:44:56): * The Gespenst leapsout of the water and directs it's remaining slash rippers towards the turrets around the area. Considering they weren't doing a damned thing against the creatures the last thing they needed was the automated defenses providing cover fire for the creatures. +
cubey@aol.pl (17:46:17): The Scaraber crushes the turret - and Heepheres sees no reaction from the chimera. At least no reaction aimed at her.
cubey@aol.pl (17:46:53): This is because as soon as it leaves the water, the crystalline creatures turn quickly, their heads snapping as they look at the Gespenst.

Aero (17:49:52): * "I noticed!" Maybe he wasn't so wrong after all...but being slightly right in this situation was just as bad. Willis quickly whips out one of themachine's beam sabers and tries to clear his way through the approaching creatures. He seems very used to dealing with this kind of assault by them but...he wasn't using his normal machine. Far from it. +
tengusaur (17:50:08): * Scaraber tries to intercept one or two of the rushing Chimeras by standing firmly in their way - and then drawing all of its swords at once, slashing with them like a barrier of blades, and then moving forward, spinning around as it strikes again! +

But as the spin ends, instead of slashing, Hetepheres stabs with all four khopeshes into the center of the monster's chest. And then cleaves, each blade going in a separate direction, for a big X-shaped strike! +

Aero (18:11:06): * Willis follows Heph and charges into the fray again, making proper adjustments this time now that he actually remembers that he's in a Gespenst. He tosses the beam saber forward and then attempts to punch the weapon through the Chimaera. +

VJockey (18:27:40): *"Try to be careful when you cut these things! The parts you chop of will keep moving!" With that heads up given to the SSR people Peola's going to rush over to one of the Chimera to absolutely smash the everloving hell out of it with an overhead swing!+
tengusaur (18:28:31): Hetepheres: "You are not the only one who will try different solutions. Bitles, launch!" Four insectoid bits deploy from Scaraber's armor and start swarming around one of the Chimeras, peppering it with laser fire! The main attack comes from Scaraber's direction, however, as the Gebian mech fires a focused laser beam from its staff, aiming at the monster's core. +
cubey@aol.pl (18:29:08): Peola smacks down at the Chimera - cracking its head and making the monster reel back, staggered.
cubey@aol.pl (18:29:52): Its whole body shakes, its arm moving up and down before suddenly bulging into a far more massive shape, a blade forming at its end - which it sends flying at Regalis Filia!

Aero (18:30:15): * "Pinning them down can't be the only option..." Willis rushes at the now pinned down Chimaera and charges the Jet Magnum at the same time. he knew there was one very easy way to destroy these creatures...and it was about time he showed the Unity Group what the creatures really were. Willis smashes the Jet Magnum into the chest of the creature and then attempts to rip open the chest to get at what was inside. &
VJockey (18:30:28): "That happens way too much.."
cubey@aol.pl (18:30:35): The Chimera that Hetepheres attacked is burned by lasers - the major attack aiming for the core, but only partially burning a hole through its chest!
cubey@aol.pl (18:31:10): Fresh crystals already start to form on it, trying to protect the chest with new layers, as the Chimera moves back. However...
VJockey (18:31:26): *Peola's going to counter that incoming blade with her sword, pumping as much ki as she could into Regalis Filia's arms and swinging hard to shatter the incoming bladed limb with sheer brute force behind her sheathed blade!+
cubey@aol.pl (18:31:26): Several of the disembodied limbs are now trying to grab Scaraber from several directions, and squeeze hard! React.
cubey@aol.pl (18:32:59): The crystalline blade was already strained - sharp, yet brittle. Due to Peola's counter attack, it shatters!
cubey@aol.pl (18:33:10): The arm that launched the attack shattered as well - you only see half a Chimera remaining!
cubey@aol.pl (18:33:17): The rest starts to regenerate already, though...
tengusaur (18:34:39): Hetepheres: "Hrm. Keep your grabby hands with you, and be gone!" Scaraber grabs two swords with its free arms and jumps forward, stabbing into the incoming crystalline arms! The bitles return, briefly firing at the limbs that might still be in pursuit from the back. +
cubey@aol.pl (18:35:05): The pinned Chimera manages to unpin one of its arms, throwing off the spear with a painful looking movement. Willis's Jet Magnum digs into its chest, removing layers and layers of crystals through the power of a plasma stake - just as the arm starts to dig into his own Gespenst's chest!

cubey@aol.pl (18:36:15): The R-Gun takes a photon rifle shot, burning a hole through the damaged Chimera that Hetepheres was fighting. It falls down dead, and the limbs are cut into, falling in smaller pieces.... though some of them still move.
tengusaur (18:37:43): Hetepheres: "Even after destroying the core, they are still partially animate?"
Aero (18:37:58): * "Not this time." The Gespenst digs it's hand deeper and Willis attempts to peel back more of it's armor to get to the Core inside. The moment he spotted what he was looking for the Mega Beam Rifle would be fired. +
VJockey (18:38:34): "If they can keep moving after getting smashed in half... it won't surprise me much."
Aero (18:38:37): Willis: "No...that shouldn't be possible...their Cores...should just be humans. ...when you kill them it should shut down the entire Chimaera."

The physics behind this incredibly stupid action meant that he was in a lot of pain but at least he was back inside of Strahlend. "I can't believe that worked...guess you could have helped me out more than I thought. U.I.I.N System Activated...alright Strahlend let's go. Spada!" As Strahlend soars down from the sky the Angelic machine it accelerates to ludicrous speeds before enlarging Quicksilver and activaing it's Nanothorn edge before cleaving through the rain of crystals flying at Lucille and Peola. +

Aero (19:16:44): * "Zephyr." The moment he notices the speed of the woman's machine he follows suit by shifting his own to it's own speed focused mode. Willis matches the machine's movements and actions, switching to Spada when he got within range of the Chimaera and carefully cleaves through the Crystalline creatures in almost perfect timing with mystery woman. +

Once close enough, but still at some distance, her blade glows, and she swings. "Go forth - Wraith Blade!" The glowing trail left in the weapon's wake transforms into white energy swords that shoot forward to impale the Zehirut, after which they will explode violently!+
