tengusaur (14:19:08): That was some time ago. A team was quickly assembled to secure the doctor, and is on its way right now. That means you, on a shuttle.
TormTerra (14:19:24): Alex: "We'll keep him safe, don't worry." Even if it kinda sounded like Eva was what they had to keep him safe from
tengusaur (14:19:38): The shuttle is nearing to its destination. A city in India - or, to be precise, the slums on its outskirts.
tengusaur (14:20:37): The slums seem ominously empty... It's as if the locals suspected a military shuttle showing up means trouble, and decided to lay low or flee.
tengusaur (14:20:58): On the other hand, there are no signs of explosions or combat nearby, so there's that.

TormTerra (14:22:39): Alex: "Right. But it'd still be best if a fight could be avoided. Even if people evacuate, it doesn't look like a place where they'll get aid in rebuilding."

tengusaur (14:23:24): The shuttle lands on a large, open square, parts of it occupied by tents and shantytown buildings. No people in sight. The square is surrounded by ruined buildings, which seem abandoned.

Wyverncakes (14:23:30): "Well the sooner we find this doctor, the sooner we can get out of here."
Wyverncakes (14:23:45): "And more importantly, any heat about keeping secrets will be off him and onto us."
tengusaur (14:23:54): In front of one of them, by the door, a man is standing, looking in your direction.
Wyverncakes (14:24:25): "And better that than these people getting attacked." Not when things are probably a daily struggle here as it is.
tengusaur (14:25:01): He looks ancient, with darkened, pruned skin, almost no hair left on his spotted head, and generally seems to be in a pretty bad condition. But he looks at you without fear.

tengusaur (14:31:01): Suddenly, you see a flash of green light, further down the square!
tengusaur (14:31:09): And another one, and then a whole bunch of them!
tengusaur (14:31:19): Within the bright flashes, giant mecha appear!

Wyverncakes (14:47:54): * No sooner does the Breaker start-up does Ana have it get out of the hangar and hovering above the ground. Fracture Rifle in hand, she draws a bead on one of the Huckebeins and begins to open fire, alternating between bullets and beams.+
VJockey (14:48:03): *Thomas would find that the Spread Lasers were not the only thing he has to deal with! A barrage of plasma blasts are also headed his way as a machine soon rushes to get him with a large blade!+

VJockey (14:48:52): "Then I guess that means I won't care very much when you're a smear on my sword."

tengusaur (14:49:26): The lasers fly towards the White Tern... And its hexagonal shield goes up, deflecting them! As two mecha rush towards the white unit, it suddenly pulls out a blade out of its wrist, and raises it to clash with the incoming edges!
tengusaur (14:49:52): Thomas: "And who the fuck are you? Some kind of defender of justice? My sister's boyfriend?"
tengusaur (14:49:56): Thomas: "Spare me!"
tengusaur (14:50:26): While the blades are clashing, suddenly White Tern moves its free hand forward... And a strong telekinetic wave appears, rushing towards Eva and Leos! (react)

VJockey (14:52:44): "I'm going to cut your tongue out and force feed it to you."

tengusaur (14:53:03): Three units are blocking the attack with their shields... And they are all pushed backwards, leaving tracks in the ground, and smashing into an empty building behind.
tengusaur (14:53:08): But they only take light armor damage.
tengusaur (14:54:08): Thomas: "Then do it, asshole! If she's the old man's tool, then you're the tool's boyfriend! Lover! Boy toy!"
Wyverncakes (14:54:26): * Coming under fire, Ana let the Breaker's RE Drive kick in to quickly get up and over those shots! "If I can keep the town out of the crossfire as much as I can...!" But there was still the issue of fighting back...+

TormTerra (14:55:01): * "Just shut up. Like you're the only one hurt or it gives you a right to kill random people?" Alex was getting worked up by that guy as she moved towards the huckebeins, putting up a deflective shield of water against any suppression fire they might try to lay down against her. Reaching the first one, she grabbed a hold of it and started corroding the material to render it useless. "Even if he's as evil as you say, you chose to use giant robots in a slum to get him instead of a gun or something." +

tengusaur (14:55:07): Ana manages to get out of the crossfire, thanks to her focus on the defense.
tengusaur (14:55:18): Also, you suddenly get a radio message.
tengusaur (14:55:54): Jason: "Don't be afraid to fight here, G-Men. This place is empty anyway right now, there's only me. Also..." A pause for another coughing fit.
tengusaur (14:56:07): Jason: "...I'll try to make a run for it, like you said. Cover me."

tengusaur (14:58:13): One of the Huckebeins is grabbed by Enki and rendered useless as its systems are corroded by the watery attack. The rest of them stay in the air... But not the Jenices! Three of them rush in, each drawing two heat axes, which they use to hack at Alex! (react)

tengusaur (14:59:08): White Tern suddenly jumps to the side, even though its thrusters were going forward! Also, it telekinetically picks up a large piece of rubble, and throws it at Leos! (react/continue)

TormTerra (15:00:45): * Seeing the charge, Alex dropped the huckebein and quickly started backpedalling towards an opening where none of the enemies came from firing several quick jets of water at them to try to blunt their charge and win her time to get to a more defensive position. +
VJockey (15:01:06): *Pew pew, blast through the rock with Plasma and Laser and rush through the blasted rubble to unleash a high speed to thrust the melee halberd into the White Tern!+
TormTerra (15:01:13): Alex: "He could be the second coming of Hitler and taking a small army here to kill him would be wrong." +
Wyverncakes (15:01:16): * The Breaker dives back down to bail out Alex though, Fracture Rifle switching to handgun configuration to free up a hand... one that punches out to run through a Jenice on its arm blade!+
tengusaur (15:04:02): The piece of rubble shatters into smaller chunks, some of which reflect off Pale Rider's armor... But then the melee attack comes! The halberd is slowed down by White Tern's barrier, but manages to nick the powerful machine regardless!
tengusaur (15:04:40): Similarily, Ren's blast is not entirely stopped, and White Tern suffers some more damage! It's only very light damage at this point...
tengusaur (15:04:56): Thomas: "Hitler? That's a goddamn good comparison!"
tengusaur (15:05:31): With a wide horizontal swing of its blade, White Tern tries to cut through the Genoace before jumping back, into the air! (react)

tengusaur (15:06:41): Alex pushes back the attacking Jenices with her stream of water, and evades herself, meaning that only one of them leaves a shallow gash on Enki with a single strike. This one is then stabbed by the Breaker's blade straight through, and stops moving!

cubey@aol.pl (15:06:48): *The Genoace is falling in a controlled way, but Ren continues shooting - at the blade, in a desperate attempt to steer it to glance against the physical shield.+

tengusaur (15:08:39): The two blades clash against each other, though Ren's shots help give Eva an edge. Still, after a short moment, White Tern pushes Albatross away with a sudden telekinetic burst!
tengusaur (15:09:01): Thomas: "What's the matter, sister? Not using your powers? You don't even remember them, do you!"
tengusaur (15:09:09): (Eva, Ana, Alex)

tengusaur (15:09:34): Also, the doctor peers out through the door, and then runs out, making his way towards the shuttle!
Wyverncakes (15:09:40): Balrog loaded and armed...!

Wyverncakes (15:11:00): * "Doesn't matter!" She takes aim at the other two Jenices that had been attacking Alex and fires the warhead!+
tengusaur (15:11:47): Thomas: "Of course it doesn't matter to you... You're just the old man's tool!" White Tern swings its hand, sending a telekinetic blast towards the attacking Albatross! (react/continue)
VJockey (15:11:57): "Bleh, with how you are? Anyone would want think forgetting anything would be a fair trade."
VJockey (15:12:04): "Old man this. Old man that."
TormTerra (15:13:26): * Rather than trying another charge, Alex reached down to pick up one of the heat axes dropped by the Jenice that Ana took out. With it in hand, she fired a large, blinding spray of water at the two Jenices that had come at her before lobbing the axe at one of them before they could really recover from the confusion. +
TormTerra (15:13:38): Alex: "And you've been such a big help in making us understand..."
peter kampschroeder (15:14:24): *Eva tries to shift around the TK blast to stay in melee, and the Albatross's chest opens up-There's a second of glow, and then its over-powered beam cannon fires!+
tengusaur (15:15:52): Alex keeps the two Jenices in place with her water blast, and throws the axe at one of them, cutting right through it. And then, Ana's Balrog causes quite the explosion, covering the two attackers and another one as well! Overall, this combined attack lowers the number of Jenices to two...
tengusaur (15:16:06): Who are now firing bazookas at both of them, from afar! (react)
tengusaur (15:17:34): Eva manages to maneuver around the blast - it's powerful but not exactly precise, Thomas is too angry to be subtle...
tengusaur (15:18:05): But then, just as her cannon is about to fire...
TormTerra (15:18:13): * Rather than try some really fancy maneuver with knocking the explosive out of the air with water or similar, Alex chose the far simpler solution of quickly dashing to the side and out of the way of it. She did, however, follow it up with trying to lay some suppression fire against the Jenice in question to prevent it from immediately following up on the attack. +
tengusaur (15:18:16): White Tern suddenly stabs its blade into Albatross' chest!
Wyverncakes (15:18:48): * Switching back from the Balrog configuration unfortunately is not instantaneous, and all Ana can do is try to bank and get out of the way! But Eva suddenly being attacked makes her distracted! "E-Eva!"
tengusaur (15:18:57): The cannon goes off in an uncontrolled blast, which covers both mecha and blinds everyone else for a few seconds!
VJockey (15:19:10): "OW! OWOWOW!"

VJockey (15:19:29): [Kind of an issue for Leos since the sensors are linked to his brain. He's rubbing his actual eyes.]

tengusaur (15:19:38): When it goes down... A hexagonal shield floats in front of White Tern for a moment, before disappearing. The unit is barely scratched.
tengusaur (15:19:54): Albatross, on the other hand, has some severe burns, and there's a nasty gash in its chest.
peter kampschroeder (15:20:20): There's a scream of pain from the Albatross...and then it's quiet. Worringly quiet.
tengusaur (15:20:20): Thomas: "Like I give a fuck about you understanding anything."

VJockey (16:01:22): *Leos was going to make things harder for Thomas, flanking around and attacking him while he was occupied with Eva. Large laser blasts were soon followed by him trying to repeatedly stab the White Tern open.+

tengusaur (16:03:45): One of the attackers gets hit by Alex's spray of water, thrown into a building and blown up! Another gets riddled by Ana's shots and collapses. Both of them manage to escape without taking any notable damage.
tengusaur (16:04:15): Eva's spread lasers... are suddenly intercepted by the hexagonal shield. Some of them get through, but most don't. And...
tengusaur (16:04:59): White Tern suddenly grips Albatross' wrist incredibly tight, cracking it horribly!

tengusaur (16:05:36): The mech's hand is now useless... And to make it worse, Thomas grabs the wrist-mounted blade and pulls it out, with brutal force!
tengusaur (16:05:50): Pieces of Albatross are flying everywhere as he does that...
tengusaur (16:07:17): But then retaliation comes! Leos and Ren fire at the White Tern... And the initial shots connect, dealing further damage to its frame (once again, its shield tanks most of it). But then, it gets its other leg free, and dodges into the air with ridiculous speed!
tengusaur (16:08:23): Thomas: "How are your comfortable little lives now, huh? Not so happy anymore! You'll feel how I felt! The fuckers in this city too!"

tengusaur (16:08:53): With a swipe of his hand, he sends another powerful telekinetic wave forward! It heads towards Leos and Ren! The last black machine is caught in the blast as well, and crushed! (react)

TormTerra (16:21:24): * No fancy maneuvers, no suppression fire, no shields, nothing. Alex simply dashed to the side as fast as she possibly could, even trying to see if she could fire a powerful jet of water behind her to push her forward faster than Enki could run. +
peter kampschroeder (16:22:12): *When the Albatross comes close, it strikes. The robot's left arm shines green and moves fast-too fast, becoming a blur that slams into the Tern's front. It's too fast to see the details until it hits, but the Albatross's fingers are extended into a stab. Eva's goal is simple-put that hand straight through the Tern's chest.+

tengusaur (16:22:36): The three of you desperately jump to the sides to avoid the beam, and the evasion seems to be successful! White Tern gets ready for another strike...
