tengusaur (21:19:44): The Meganoids are trying to bring their planet closer to Earth for an attack! Who knows what disruption to the planet will it cause, when Mars is so close to it?

TormTerra (21:22:39): Kei was quiet. Even by her standards. Just trying to take in the enormity of the situation and the disaster that might already be unavoidable was hard to deal with. Could you even get a planet back in its orbit again once it had been moved?

TormTerra (21:31:05): Kei decided to head for Purple-2 as well. It was true that they were just soldiers and should do their job defeating the enemy...But she'd prefer getting a team of astrophysicists like the major had suggested, just in case
tengusaur (21:31:57): Your mecha are put into the Mother Rockets' cargo compartments (except in Kagura's case), and the rockets themselves are clear for takeoff! They are piloted by a single person each, and that means you. Though the controls are relatively simple, you can even do it from your mecha if it's connected to the rocket in some way.
Ginkan SK (21:32:47): Russel is preppted and ready he's fairly quite given the gravity of what's going on? Russel knows the price of failure would be horrific /at/ best. Should even anyone live through it.

Drascin (21:40:21): so her takeoff is a bit later than the others, but smooth
tengusaur (21:41:03): One by one, the rockets take off in large blasts! The start is more than a little rough, with G-forces pushing you into the chairs, but soon enough it becomes smoother. And hoo boy, how do these things go!
tengusaur (21:41:16): After just a moment you've left the atmosphere already!
TormTerra (21:41:17): Kei: "Our commander really knows how to be inspiring, doesn't he?"

tengusaur (21:43:38): It's a blockade. The Meganoids deployed all the forces they could to stop you from reaching their base.

cubey@aol.pl (21:46:31): *Izuru's Mother Rocket swerves to the side and its laser cannons emit a large blast, aiming from an angle so the enemies find it hard to dodge without disrupting their formation!+
Drascin (21:46:46): *Well, Kagura spent the trip familiarizing herself with the controls. So with a soft yaw movement she reorients her rocket so that the cannons have the battleships on arc - and opens fire with three very carefully aimed shots. Got to conserve ammo+
Overman Zappa (21:46:47): *Banjou wastes no time firing the main canons of the Mother Rocket right into enemy forces, targeting one of the ships as a focal point to start wrecking shop."
Overman Zappa (21:47:17): Banjou: "It's just a really tense time Izuru. I'm neither offended or worried, so let's do everything we can to stop this menace."
tengusaur (21:48:08): The lasers turn out to be very powerful weapons, and they pierce through the targetted battleships, blowing them up - each of the attackers destroys one of them, and two more suffer light damage from Izuru's and Kagura's shots.
tengusaur (21:48:50): But, suddenly, a huge swarm of fighters deploys from the rest of the battleships! They zoom towards the three attacking rockets and start spamming small beam shots at them from all directions!
tengusaur (21:49:00): (Izuru, Kagura, Banjou react)
tengusaur (21:49:16): The fighters resemble the battleships, but they're much, much smaller and light grey instead of red.

cubey@aol.pl (21:49:51): *Izuru knows what to do when you're under fire in a ship - his rocket performs a barrel roll and tries to charge its way THROUGH the swarm of fighters.+
Overman Zappa (21:50:43): *Banjou doesn't defend his ship, he simply fires again, aiming through the smaller machines and into another one of the battle ships.+
tengusaur (21:51:22): Izuru charges forward, ramming and blowing up four of the smaller fighters - they are too fragile to physically stop you from advancing! But his Mother Rocket takes a few shots and it moderately damaged.

TormTerra (21:51:36): * Stuck attached to a huge rocket with heavy lasers moving at a very high speed, Kei focused her attention on the larger battleships that the rocket was more suited for dealing with. Using Purple-2's computers to help calculate her aim, she fired a series of quick beams at several of the battleships in quick succession. +
Meraxa (21:51:48): Ken: So, we just gonna try and get through this, or wipe them out? *Ken asks, trying to line up at least a few fighters before he pulls the trigger on his rocket's laser, moving towards a gap between battleships+
tengusaur (21:52:07): Banjou's laser pierces through two of the fighters without stopping, and hits one of the already-damaged battleships, blowing it up! His rocket is also damaged, however.
Drascin (21:52:35): *Kagura, on her end, realizes that the rocket is entirely too large for a conventional dodge, even in space. And she can afford to lose her rocket because she can just grab a lift on someone else's. And so, what she's going to do is dive in and spin - and firing a salvo of shots as she rotates. How the hell does she manage to be so precise while spinning in the middle of nothing?+
tengusaur (21:53:34): Kei's shots hit three of the battleships, though only one of them, which was previously damaged, blows up. The other two retaliate by firing wide beams of their own, trying to catch her in a crossfire! (react)
tengusaur (21:54:26): Ken shoots down eight of the fighters - using high-caliber weaponry against these small craft is almost overboard. But now more of them are swarming around him, trying to attack from the back! (react)

Wyverncakes (21:55:18): Mizuki: "All the more reason to put on the pressure!"
tengusaur (21:55:56): Kagura's maneuver proves to be effective for attacking the enemies going after her, and she shoots down five of the fighters, as well as damaging one of the battleships. However, her rocket takes heavy damage in the process!
TormTerra (21:57:25): * While the rocket was hardly made for dodging, but Kei didn't have a lot of other options seeing as how her shields were only made to protect Purple-2. Still, she tried to guide it out of the crossfire as best she could, drawing on the computers in Purple-2 to help control thrust and project her trajectory just right. +
Wyverncakes (21:57:31): * Mizuki's Mother Rocket advances towards Mars, but she angles it upwards to try to go over and flank the blockade for a better angle of attack. "And... fire-!" The lasers are unleashed on one of the larger ships en-masse!+
Meraxa (21:57:32): Ken: Come on... *Ken... decides to see what happens if he briefly decelerates. The result? Those fighters will be crossing the gap to his rocket's back somewhat quicker than they likely expected+
tengusaur (21:58:17): Kei focuses on the defense, and only a few of the beams graze her rocket thanks to that.
tengusaur (21:58:53): Ken, on the other hand, does a trick, and it works - three of the fighters burn in his exhaust! The rest of them disengage before getting smashed, and launched only a few shots at him.
tengusaur (21:59:41): Mizuki blows up one of the undamaged battleships, attacking from the flank! Only half of their initial number is left now...
Ginkan SK (22:00:02): It does not take long for Russel to launch, he's in the heavy weapons config given the fire power they might have needed. He launches and moves into engage the enemy fighters using his m90+
tengusaur (22:00:03): But from these half, two are opening fire towards her, shooting lasers in a rapid barrage! (react)
Wyverncakes (22:01:07): * "That's right, focus on me!" Mizuki changes tactics to focus on evasion, putting everything she can into the thrusters, all the better to draw their fire away from the others!+
tengusaur (22:01:22): Using a smaller caliber weapon proves to be effective against the fighters, as Russel shoots down four of them, one after another. A dozen of them starts swarming around his rocket, however, trying to take it down with lasers! (react)

Ginkan SK (22:01:54): Russel is at one of the controls and he brings up the lasers and starts tracking and shooting at the meganoid fighters like he's enacting the Falcon fleeing the Death Star.+
tengusaur (22:02:27): Russel - different weapon, same result. Four enemies down, but you're under attack now. (react)
tengusaur (22:02:27): Mizuki pushes forward, trying to avoid the lasers

tengusaur (22:02:56): And she succeeds, a few of them only grazing her thrusters! And because enemies focus their fire on her, her allies are free to move.
tengusaur (22:03:33): In fact, one by one, all of you are getting close to Mars. And the enemy numbers are too low to stop you now. You can move into the planet's atmosphere!
tengusaur (22:04:22): Russel receives a big gash on the rocket's side from a laser grazing it. It can still fly however, so the damage is not too bad.

TormTerra (22:05:40): Kei: "If it is, we can probably find a colony in space to have him dock at."
tengusaur (22:05:58): Well, you're about to find out, because unless someone wants to stay behind, you're about to descend towards Mars' atmosphere!
tengusaur (22:06:34): A few lasers fly behind you from the pursuing fleet, but they're slower than your Mother Rockets and are left behind!
Wyverncakes (22:06:34): Mizuki: "Now we need to get to where the energy signature is..."
tengusaur (22:07:03): The energy signatures are almost right underneath you!
tengusaur (22:07:50): As you get lower, you can see the massive engines sticking out from Mars' surface... There's quite a few of them.
Drascin (22:08:14): Kagura: OF ALL THE HAREBRAINED SCHEMES. PUTTING ROCKETS ON A PLANET.
tengusaur (22:08:30): The descend turns out to be almost unnoticable - the Mother Rockets are good for getting through Mars' atmosphere, it turned out.
Wyverncakes (22:08:51): Mizuki: "But it certainly worked."
Meraxa (22:08:56): Ken: Somehow.
Wyverncakes (22:08:57): "So now we'll have to fix it."

tengusaur (22:09:18): On the side from where all the engines are, you can see a base. Several tall, spiky towers, connected into a larger futuristic-looking construction.

TormTerra (22:11:39): Kei: "I'll try to see what I can learn...But a control room isn't likely to produce energy spikes or other things that can easily be noticed."
tengusaur (22:13:09): According to a scan, the energy from the engines seem to have power lines connecting to the base, at least... Which means they can be controlled from somewhere in there.
TormTerra (22:15:35): Kei: "It's not really a surprise, but the engines are connected to the base. We will have to enter it to get a closer look."
Wyverncakes (22:15:48): Mizuki: "Then that means ditching the rockets."
Drascin (22:16:17): Kagura: ALRIGHT THEN. LET'S LEAVE THESE THINGS SOMEWHERE AND STORM THE CASTLE.
Meraxa (22:16:20): Ken: Probably best to avoid them getting damaged anyway.
Wyverncakes (22:16:55): The DuskBird pulls itself out from the rocket and does whatever it can to make it land or hover on autopilot or whatever, before finally making its way to land on the surface.

Overman Zappa (22:18:19): Banjou makes the most hasty landing and just runs his rocket along the ground before heading out. On foot for now. Lo and behold... oxygen? But soon the MachPatrol rushes out of the rocket and he gets in.
Drascin (22:18:45): Kagura lands hers and flies in in her skiff to approach the base
tengusaur (22:18:55): Turns out, there is one entrance. But, unfortunately, it is not big enough for mecha to get inside! Well, maybe very small mecha, but not any of the ones you're using.

Drascin (22:19:03): Kagura: DOUBT THEY'LL JUST OPEN THE DOOR FOR US.

tengusaur (23:02:22): Between the missile impacting in his hand and the barrage of attacks heading at his head, Don Sauzer is forced to take a step backwards! Or a step equivalent, at least, for someone who can fly.

tengusaur (23:06:43): Kagura evades the incoming lasers and shoots right into the bridge, destroying everything inside! The battleship, without anyone to control it, starts descending and crashes on Mars' surface, exploding!
tengusaur (23:08:24): The rocket's lasers hit Don Sauzer's hand, not dealing much damage to it but throwing it off aim. This lets the SolSaviour team escape... But their machines are still zapped somewhat, causing minor shocks to the pilots.
tengusaur (23:08:58): Ken - unfortunately, Don Sauzer either doesn't have feet or he's hiding them under his cloak, since you can't find them. He's floating in mid-air.

Drascin (23:12:50): *Still, Kagura moves on, patient and efficient as the grave, running into the cloud of meganoid fighters harassing the others. Fighters who are very soon going to learn why funnels are hax, as Kagura and her skiff ballet through their group, assaulting from various angles in perfect coordination, piercing one enemy and piching into the other, leading and sniping right through the cockpit. KAgura's intention is to keep the mooks fully distracted while everyone else takes the big guy - and she's definitely a hard to ignore rpesence!+

tengusaur (23:19:47): Mizuki channels abyssal energy through the whip, right into Don Sauzer's hand! The giant enemy's fingers are scorched and he's forced to stop emitting energy from this one hand for the time being... Which lets Banjou defend against the other lightning with Daitarn Fan. Though his mech's limbs are still somewhat charred after this attack.

Meraxa (23:22:14): Ken: Roger! *Getting up there again would actually be a bit difficult, since ScarleTiger can only jump so high, and there's not much to hold onto... But there is Daitarn 3 to use as a stepping stone. One leap is followed by a another, and Ken goes from Daitarn's shoulder towards Don Sauzer's arm. With the Scarlet Shotels drawn, he aims to run along the length of the massive limb, right towards the Don's face, slashing as he goes!+

Meraxa (23:28:31): Ken's answer? He'll leap AT the first hand that comes his way, trying to stab and cling to the wrists. Try to keep the big guy busy+
Drascin (23:30:45): *And with that, Kagura buzzes right to another battleship, for a repeat of her previous trick. The anti-ship cannons of the migghty battleships are going to have some trouble stopping someone as small as Kagura that can dodge through a forest of laser beams! And so, she runs the trenches of the ship, ripping gashes on it with her guns and letting the crew of the surface levels enjoy the wonders of hard vacuum before finding the bridge. This time, however, she simply blows up the glass, letting the vacuum take away the crew...&
tengusaur (23:31:24): Ken manages to avoid getting crushed... But Don swings his arm, forcing ScarleTiger off and sending it flying! You should probably do something not to crash heavily.

tengusaur (23:32:36): Kagura's trick pulls the Meganoids out through the broken window, sending them flying and screaming who knows where! (continue)
Meraxa (23:34:32): Ken: WhoawhoawhoaBEASTMODE! *Ken screams out the command, ScarleTiger transforming into its animal shape. Feet first, he'll try and push off the surface as quickly as he hits it - redirecting at least some of the momentum before he comes crashing down again.+
Drascin (23:34:57): *...and so afterwards Kagura simply lands inside, walks to the nav computer, introduces some irreversible instructions, and flies the fuck out. Those instructions being a flight path in direct interception course with the other nearby battleship, at roughly 200% maximum safe generator output. Generator which, between the horrible overload and the destabilization of the subsequent crash... you get the picture+
tengusaur (23:36:49): Two of the battleships crash one into another, causing one of them to be completely destroyed and the another to be heavily damaged! It doesn't survive Russel's barrage, however, and it's completely blown up - the last one, heavily damage in the previous fight, is destroyed by the Gespenst as well!
tengusaur (23:37:05): Ken lands more or less safely, if not too gently.

tengusaur (23:38:07): The robotic giant's visible brain starts to pulse! He raises his hands and emits a massive amount of electrical energy, hundreds of huge thunderous tendrils flying into everyone's direction!

TormTerra (23:39:28): * Throwing her shields up, Kei put her AHSMB's mobility to full use as she tried to navigate into cover behind the side of the base. Wherever the control room was, it probably wasn't right next to the door of the hangar-looking building their enemy had come from. +

Meraxa (23:40:12): Ken tries to get the ScarleTiger up and running, so that he might dodge the incoming attack, but it wouldn't be wrong to say that... Dido was gonna have some work getting the performance back up+
Ginkan SK (23:40:37): Russel's going to try to make for what ever cover he can find if there is none he's going to try to bring up his arms to protect his cockpit block.+
Drascin (23:40:52): *Yeah, the SEAL field can absorb electricty to a pretty good degree, but Kagura ain't even going to try to take that one directly. Since she was already flying down, she accelerates and basically zooms at full speed into one of the enarby canyons in an attempt to gain cover. Braking being a concern for the next seconds if she manages to dodge that, because otherwise it's not like it's going to be an issue+
Overman Zappa (23:42:59): Banjou tries to continue defending against the lightning by protecting his chest, but, against such an attack, he can't do too much.
tengusaur (23:43:56): Banjou, Russel, Mizuki - trying to block this attack turned out to be a pretty bad idea! Your units are zapped severely, electric currents running through both the machinery and your body, painfully!
tengusaur (23:44:35): Kagura, Kei, Izuru, Ken - evading turned out to be a better idea, and you're only grazed by the powerful thunderous strikes. However, more of them are already incoming, as Don Sauzer prepares to continue his assault!

Wyverncakes (23:45:04): The fact that Mizuki's machine IS part of her body just makes the screams all the more agony-filled.

tengusaur (23:49:44): Riddled with bullets and repeatedly hit by blades, the already damaged dome over Don Sauzer's brain cracks visibly! And then, it pretty much shatters!

Ginkan SK (23:50:58): Russel's machine is badly damaged and the Personal trooper's surge protectors don't seem to do much. Russel's in pain he's not much for words right now but the gespenst's optic band flares up and it's getting back to it's free. He does however say one thing. "Katina... didn't give me ... the order I could ... die here."
Wyverncakes (23:51:04): * The DuskBird's hand is again enveloped in the darkness of Void energy! "And just because your achnemesis might use the power of the Sun, don't think that darkness is something you can just write off!" Wings spread, the DuskBird hurls itself straight at the Don's head to strike through the exposed brain!+
Drascin (23:51:07): *And that's Kagura's cue to snipe said brain with Luna shards, rapidfired from two railguns in separate positions+
Ginkan SK (23:51:43): Russel's machine levels the twin beam canons and fires off another longer burst thanb before aiming right for Don's head!+
tengusaur (23:52:50): Beams and Luna shards hit the exposed brain, searing it and dealing heavy damage to it! Don Sauzer lets out an electronic-sounding, robotic moan of pain!
Overman Zappa (23:54:06): Banjou readies up and points to the crest on Daitarn's head. "Borrowing the power of the sun!" Dynamic posing. "The Deadly! SUN! AAATTAAAAAACK!" And he unleashes all the power of the sun right on Don Sauzer's brain!+
tengusaur (23:55:26): Mizuki cuts deeply into the brain as she passes by, damaging it even further!
tengusaur (23:56:16): And then, the globe on solar energy hits Don Sauzer's brain literally head-on, causing a huge, golden explosion! The explosion engulfs first the Meganoid's head, then the rest of his body.

tengusaur (23:56:44): After the dust from the explosion settles, nothing is left from the Meganoid leader...
tengusaur (23:57:03): Koros is watching this.
tengusaur (23:57:20): Riddled with holes, she nevertheless crawled all the way to the door.
tengusaur (23:57:32): And now, she sees as Don Sauzer is defeated.
tengusaur (23:57:40): Koros: "Don... No..."

tengusaur (23:58:08): Her head drops down to the ground. Her life signs disappear.

Wyverncakes (00:01:17): The DuskBird lands, Mizuki taking a long, groaning sigh as she rubs her arms. Yeah, that last hit was a doozy...
Overman Zappa (00:01:47): But he picks himself up. "If you all don't mind, I'd like to finish up matters here myself." he requests, landing Daitarn by the entrance they used earlier.
Meraxa (00:02:03): Ken: ...Speaking of the return home, didn't somene throw their rocket at the Don?

Wyverncakes (00:05:45): DuskBird dispelled, she's not exactly in great shape but she still makes her way to the ScarleTiger.
